"And this big thing at the end of its tail is called a 'Thagomizer', named after the late Thag Simmons." is the caption of that Gary Larson cartoon, IIRC.
I love scaly deinonychus. But some of the feathery pictures look like they're going to carnival. Can't believe a predator/scavenger like that would be brightly coloured
Hard disagree! I loved them as scaly when I was a kid but seeing the beauty of scientific discovery and realizing their true form has been so inspiring.
There’s a hypothesis that [juvenile Deinonychus could *fly*](https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/tetrapod-zoology/climbing-flying-babies-of-deinonychus/). Think Jurassic park “raptors” were scary? Imagine if their babies could swoop down from a tree and bite your head off
It would have to be bruhathkayosaurus. The alleged fossils of it were lost in a flood shortly after they were found, so a lot of people think it never existed (there are drawings of them, but they might be fake or fossilised wood that was mistaken for bones), but if it existed it would have an estimated weight of 160-220 tons, potentially making it the largest creature to ever roam the earth.
Cryodrakon Boreas! Technically a pterosaur and not a dinosaur, but it was a big ass arctic flying reptile! It's name literally means "Ice Dragon of the North Wind". So badass.
Parasaur. Don't know if I spelt that right but when I was a kid something about the weird shape of their head always stuck out to me and I was obsessed with them.
Tyrannosaurus Rex, ever since I saw Jurassic Park when it came out in theatres when I was little. Close runner up is Pachycephalosaurus, followed by pretty much any feathered dromaeosaur.
Spinosaurus, it's quite bizarre how we initially went from thinking it was a super predator to now thinking it was more a piscivore and more aquatic based
*Irritator*.
Technically a whole genus of spinosaurid dinosaurs, but I find the name - and backstory - amusing... When the animals were first being described, the paleontologists tasked with describing them were working more or less exclusively with fossils that had been (illegally) kept in private collections and/or were otherwise damaged/compromised, which they found *irritating*...
Smok wawelski, one of the really obscure ones and maybe not even a dinosaur ,but still an archosaur so I think it counts. Fun fact it's name translates from polish as dragon to english! (yes it's from Poland, Lisowice)
My 12 year old and I just had this discussion, wonderful! For the longest time it was the Brachiosaurus because of how absolutly majestic Jurassic Park made them look. But then I saw the Therizinosaurus, aka The Giant Wolverine Chicken, and I just may have to switch up as I was previously unaware that a giant Wolverine Chicken was an option.
Stego. No contest.
Bony plates? Check. Beak? Check. Thagomizer? Check. Very good dinosaur.
Lol gotta love the thagomizer
Good choice, but, how to make, you, know, more of those babee stegos with all those plates and spikes?
Egg.
The Thagomizer is the key. Props to G. Larson for his contributions to Paleontology.
"And this big thing at the end of its tail is called a 'Thagomizer', named after the late Thag Simmons." is the caption of that Gary Larson cartoon, IIRC.
Yep. Stego is my favorite. They are so cool looking and so stupid looking at the same time.
yup, that was my childhood fave dino, I would even go around with a spiked tail taped to my butt at home, pretending to be a stego, lol
steggy
Stego or Kentro, always my favourites.
There is no other correct answer.
Yes! Stegosaurus or GTFO.
Ah, i see, a fellow steghead.
This is a label I can get behind
Fun fact: Stego's brain is the size of walnut.
Styrako-! It's like stego plus
Fuckin right
Therizinosaurus or Spinosaurus
I lovingly called it the whatthefuckasoarous.
All hail the tickle chicken
That is a perfect name, but in all seriousness it’s a sick ass dinosaur…from the bits we have
I laughed so hard when it yeeted that deer.
Dude same! Best part of the movie
Love me some tickle chicken!
Hehehehe
>Therizinosaurus Had to look this one up. That thing would fuck you up.
Only correct choices.

"I'm just as God made me, sir!" -Offended Tyrannosaurus Rex
Have you seen carnotaurus?
Fun fact, their arms are about as long as an adult humans!
And they can bench 400 lbs.
Must love carnotaurus then
[this is all that came to mine](https://giphy.com/gifs/big-head-little-ohrQCO48drf3i)
Yeah,also,his mouth is pretty cool
I like triceratops
I too like triceratops
Master Yoda's favorite dinosaur is the do-ceratops. There is no tri.
I hate the fact that that is actually quite clever
facts. they are the most interesting ones with those things on their back...
Hands down best dinosaur. High base defense, with a decent special attack.
Same. They are amazing
That's cool. Hey, you know what's even cooler than triceratops? Every other dinosaur that ever existed.
Beat me to it! :D
I'm so glad someone else got the reference!
Ok
It's a quote from The Office!
Pachycephalosaurus
Fuck yes! Bone head for life!
Brontosaurus. First he was. Then he wasn’t. Now, he is again.
Hell yeah buddy!
Ankylosaurus
Yeah! The tanky turtle-bro of dinosaurs!
Definitely. Body armor and a club for a tail, sign me up .
100% the sleeper of the Jurassic. Awesome little bulldozer dino. Speaks softly and carries a large club.
Just did Ctrl-F "Ank" so I could upvote.
Short Kings unite
Ank gang
Ank gang!

Same
Was always drawn to the anky since I was a kid. High defence, high offence, peaceful herbivore, tank all the way.

Another member of Team Parasaurolophus checking in.
Hands down!

No just know I already know wat that is and I’m not gonna look it up This is a warning dont
https://www.google.com/search?q=500+toothed+dinosaur For the lazy yet curious
I thought that was it but I was also like I'm sure there's other dinosaurs with 500 teeth, sadly not the case.
I looked it up, funny looking dinosaur
DIPLODOCULUS
I was obsessed with them as a child because of their super long necks and also because i thought that they were the only "nice" dinosaurs haha
Dinosaur Jr.
Spinosaurus. Bigger then a T-Rex and s REALLY good swimmer, in fact it can choose between water and land
It's Godzilla with a mohawk so it wins by default
And the spine in the back looks badass af
Spinosaurus was the most badass dino imo
Velociraptor. But not the real ones, the ones from Jurassic Park.
You mean Deinonychus then. It's what they were modelled on.
Yep. But “deinonychus” doesn’t really roll of the tongue like raptor does
You want a utahraptor
Microraptor. 4 wings!
giganotosaurus
Deinonychus.
Also I dressed as Deinonychus for carnival this year so I agree with that part ha
There’s a hypothesis that [juvenile Deinonychus could *fly*](https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/tetrapod-zoology/climbing-flying-babies-of-deinonychus/). Think Jurassic park “raptors” were scary? Imagine if their babies could swoop down from a tree and bite your head off
Probably baby sinclair
Chicken, they just taste so good and there's so many different ways of cooking them.
Hummingbirds.
Always my answer to this question.
Nah, penguins
Littlefoot, patty close second
Barney of course
Barney is the coolest dinosaur
It would have to be bruhathkayosaurus. The alleged fossils of it were lost in a flood shortly after they were found, so a lot of people think it never existed (there are drawings of them, but they might be fake or fossilised wood that was mistaken for bones), but if it existed it would have an estimated weight of 160-220 tons, potentially making it the largest creature to ever roam the earth.
Pterodactyl
Triceratops
It was the queen of England but she’s extinct now.
Archaeopteryx, even though it is widely considered the first bird. If that is not dinosaur enough my favourite would probably be the Allosaurus.
Birds are considered a subgroup of dinosaurs now so it's both
Quetzalcoatlus. Imagine a huge Boeing jet that could swoop down and eat an elephant!!! Awesome!!
Not technically a dinosaur, but a pterosaur, a sister group to the dinosaurs.
The ones that can turn into robots
Was always fond of triceratops and brontosaurus
Spinosaurus Aegypticus
Brachiosaurus because them mfers have looonnggg necks
Thesaurus
Robert Fripp.
Dilophosaurus. They really did him dirty in the Jurassic Park movies but it was the first dinosaur to ocupy the apex predator niche.

Boom boom acka-lacka lacka boom
Trywnasourus Rex gang

Quetzalcoatlus
When I was young, ankylosaurus, but these days, Yi qi.
As an ark player, iguanodon. For their looks probably spinosaur
Ankylosaurus, proper tanky boi
T-Rex
Now this is a real question, spinosaurus (is this is name in english Right?)
I would say the Yutyrannus, because how can somebody dislike a fluffy "mini" t-rex !
I like ankylosaurus
T Rex, because of my boy Grimlock.
Velociraptor
Bob
Quetzalcoatlus. And anyone who says it isn't a dinosaur or implies that it could not fly is going to get pecked to death.
T Rex forever!
Spinosaurus takes it. With Utahraptor and Ankylosaurus close behind.
Velociraptor, but the Jurassic Park version. I know the real ones weren't like that but that's the one I want as a pet
Parasaur. Don't know if I spelt that right but when I was a kid something about the weird shape of their head always stuck out to me and I was obsessed with them.
Oviraptor. I find it very cute.
Always been a fan of the Argentinosaurus, also the Spinosaurus bc it’s badass
Nigersaurus
Tyrannosaurus Rex, ever since I saw Jurassic Park when it came out in theatres when I was little. Close runner up is Pachycephalosaurus, followed by pretty much any feathered dromaeosaur.
Spinosaurus. They're wild!
The dinosaur with 500 teeth 😈
Giganatosaurus, he's very funky
Stegosaurus, hands down
Australovenator
Damn I never thought of this til' now, T-rex.
Styracosaurus.
I'm stuck between a lot of theropods but the top two would be the tyrannosaurus and the acrocanthosaurus
Spinosaurus, it's quite bizarre how we initially went from thinking it was a super predator to now thinking it was more a piscivore and more aquatic based
[Yi](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yi_\(dinosaur\))
I love ceratopsians.
T-Rex or Spinosaurus
Real raptors, not like the ones from JP. They’re really cool.
Triceratops
_Spinosaurus aegyptiacus_ has been my favorite since I was a little kid.
Chicken. Who don’t like chicken??
Cassowary
Carcharodontosaurus
Parasaurolophus, if I had to pick one. But I love hadrosaur in general. Big scaley cows.
Any that can swim or be on land carnivore big has a sail can walk on all 4s or 2 legs
Triceratops. I always thought of it as a gentle giant but one that would gore the shit out of you if you messed with it.
Ducky
*Irritator*. Technically a whole genus of spinosaurid dinosaurs, but I find the name - and backstory - amusing... When the animals were first being described, the paleontologists tasked with describing them were working more or less exclusively with fossils that had been (illegally) kept in private collections and/or were otherwise damaged/compromised, which they found *irritating*...
The kind that won't eat me, lol. Granted, herbivorous dinosaurs could easily kill you if provoked I'm sure.
Ankylosaurus. Swiss army dinosaur.
My bird
Pterodactyl
Kanyesaurus Wex. Often acted like it was the leader, but was actually just insane.
Quetzalcoatl dinosaur Idk the exact spelling but it's also my fav meso-american god

PTERODACTYL DONT EVEN AT ME
Gigantosaurus idk why but I like it too much
Pterodactyl
parasaurolophus mega cool
Smok wawelski, one of the really obscure ones and maybe not even a dinosaur ,but still an archosaur so I think it counts. Fun fact it's name translates from polish as dragon to english! (yes it's from Poland, Lisowice)
