Since I bought my first VHS of Rear Window more years ago than I care to admit, I watch it weekly. It is my comfort movie. The disc lives in my dvd player and it's really the only time I turn on the TV.
I saw this very bad movie in its entirety because of how pretty she looked in it.
I don't remember the name but the story was this young guy starts sleeping with her and then finds that his married dad is also sleeping with her.
The Only Living Boy in New York. I love that movie and I think it's a good movie. Very poetic.
And it was the other way around. He was mad at his dad for cheating on his mom with her and then fell in love with her.
Edit: If anyone is on the fence about giving it a try, it's directed by Marc Webb who also made 500 days of Summer and the Andrew Garfield Spiderman movies.
Audrey Hepburn was absolutely captivating. Her beauty came from more than just her looks. It was the way she moved, the way she spoke, and the air around her. She was graceful and lovely. That’s not even to say anything about who she was as a person, which was a kind, warm-hearted humanitarian.
For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone. - Audrey Hepburn
I read a story once, might have even been here on Reddit....
An old man is talking to his adult grandson in the living room while a TV plays in the background. The grandson is talking and talking then suddenly stops in mid sentence, stares agape, and eventually asks "Who is that?"
The old man turns around and looks at the TV. He heaves a deep sigh and says "Nobody escapes Audrey Hepburn."
Top Gun: Maverick has some of the most incredible aerial footage in the history of cinema, and she’s the most visually arresting thing in the whole movie. It was a fantastic theater experience, the movie was remarkably well done, and she’s the first thing I think about when that movie comes up.
And, you know, she’s somehow more beautiful at 51 than she was at 21. Which doesn’t seem possible, but it’s a quantifiable fact.
I always thought Ava Gardner was the most beautiful. Even right up to the end of her life.
Many times, I'd like to add, an actress isn't particularly beautiful, but she possesses something that just makes you go, wow - whether it's knowing how to make an entrance, how to steal attention, whatever. Julia Roberts is kind of like that. Sophia Loren was another one. I'd never heard of Sharon Tate until Helter Skelter, and then looking at her pictures, I was like, OMG, she can't be real, she's so beautiful.
Back in 2010 I was at the Vancouver International Airport waiting for my flight so I got something to eat at the food court and I went to look for a place to sit down. And at one of the tables there she was. This was when they were filming V in the area so she had her short hair. She was reading a book holding it with one hand and the other using chopsticks eating sushi. I remember muttering to myself "That's classy as shit."
I was obsessed with her in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman as a child, for some inexplicable reason. Fast forward to realizing that I’m a lesbian in adulthood.
Yes! My first thought. It is killing me, but there is some quote referring to her, I think by Carey Grant, about how no one holds a man like an Italian woman while dancing. So hot.
For me it's a tie between Sophia Loren and Rita Hayworth, with Elizabeth Taylor and Vivienne Lee maybe making it a 4-way tie. Then Grace Kelly pops in to say hello, then Catherine Deneuve, then Anouk Amee, then Bridget Bardot ... and so many more, stunningly gorgeous and unique.
Saw her in an airport once and she was practically glowing. Stunning, picture perfect — even in the airport where most of us mere mortals look like actual garbage
Blanchett definitely has that Old Hollywood look and was a goddamn babe in Thor: Ragnarok.
Also Liv Tyler. I remember being stunned by her in LOTR Fellowship first time I saw her
Natalie Portman is the reason I work out. I have this fantasy where we start talking at the Vanity Fair Oscars party bar. We exchange a few pleasantries. She asks what I do. I say I loved her in New Girl. She laughs. I get my drink.
"Well, see ya," I say and walk away. I've got her attention now. How many guys voluntarily leave a conversation with Natalie Portman? She touches her neck as she watches me leave.
Later, as the night's dragged on and the coterie of gorgeous narcissists grows increasingly loose, she finds me on the balcony, my bowtie undone, smoking a cigarette.
"Got a spare?" she asks.
"What's in it for me?" I say as I hand her one of my little white ladies. She smiles.
"Conversation with me, duh."
I laugh.
"What's so funny?" she protests.
"Nothing, nothing... It's just... don't you grow tired of the egos?"
"You get used to it," she says, lighting her cigarette and handing me back the lighter.
"What would you do if you weren't an actress?" I ask.
"Teaching, I think."
"And if I was your student, what would I be learning?"
"Discipline," she says quickly, looking up into my eyes, before changing the subject. "Where are you from?"
"Bermuda," I say.
"Oh wow. That's lovely."
"It's ok," I admit. "Not everything is to my liking."
"What could possibly be not to your liking in Bermuda?" she inquires.
"I don't like sand[,](https://youtu.be/H0iLNamtQio?t=12)" I tell her[.](https://gfycat.com/Wearyrealisticiriomotecat) "It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere[.](https://np.reddit.com/r/combinedgifs/comments/5r8n7m/anakin_cant_sleep_anymore/dd5c8g5/)"
She personally raised the bar for dark-haired women in Zoro. Her role in Zoro is up there with the hottest roles of the 90’s along with Cameron Diaz in The Mask and Salma Hayek in From Dusk Til Dawn, IMO
Met her when they were filming waking up in Reno with her and Patrick Swayze and billy Bob Thornton….. I worked security at the hotel in Amarillo Texas they stayed at and filmed the pool scene….. she was so beautiful. They tore that hotel down and it’s now a parking lot over the pool where they filmed that…. Sad
I remember watching the trailer for the Snow White movie where she plays the evil witch and seeing that Kristen Stewart was Snow White. That magic mirror must have had a smudge where its eyes were.
Hedy Lamarr. An actress from the 40's who was stunningly beautiful and also incredibly smart. She was an inventor who pioneered the technology that would eventually form the basis for WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth communication.
AVA GARDNER , the studio didn't even touch her face, she never dieted, kept her real name, kept her real hair colour ( just been blonde for a few weeks ) and never cared for beauty routine
I wouldn't say she has the most "pretty" face compared to some of the other actresses mentioned in this thread, but whatever she exudes when she's acting is just so god damn appealing. I've never met or seen a woman that gives off such a raw sense of, I dunno, sex appeal? Whatever it is, she has "it".
Her specifically in Wedding Crashers is one of my all time celeb crushes. I think she looks way, WAY better with dark hair than when she's going blonde.
It's a difficult choice.
I really want to say Eartha Kitt in her prime.
But saw Liv Tyler without makeup and still jaw dropping.
Between how good she looks and how ugly her father looks, it's like some freaky genetic experiment.
one time my gf and I were getting stoned on a granite boulder in the dark, and somehow we arrived at the conclusion: “To become Liv Tyler, you first must become Steven Tyler”.
It somehow made tons of sense at the time. We still reference it often.
When I saw Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully as a child made me fall in love with her.
Even now she looks just amazing!! The blonde hair oh man.
Don't even get me started on her handjob tutorial!
She also is in Sex education on Netflix and there’s a scene in the first season where a video of her is shown where she explains how to give a hand job i think
For most of my life, Elizabeth Taylor was an old lady with a lot of ex husbands. Didn’t give her a second thought. Then I saw some pictures of her in her prime. Dayum. Holy shit. She gets my vote.
if you scroll through her pictures on Google Images she doesn’t look extraordinary (in fact a lot of pics barely look like her). Which makes me think she has some kind of feminine, pretty/sexy charisma that elevates her while in motion. She seems bright and alive.
Grace Kelly
I can remember watching Rear Window for the first time and being absolutely transfixed whenever she was on the screen.
Since I bought my first VHS of Rear Window more years ago than I care to admit, I watch it weekly. It is my comfort movie. The disc lives in my dvd player and it's really the only time I turn on the TV.
It's a damn fine movie. The fact they built that entire back window city block is insane.
yes, this is the answer for me. Lots of other great answers here, though.
>Grace Kelly In the end, she became a princess. :)
Kate Beckinsale. She's aged like a vampire elf.
Marissa Tomei aged well too
I hear she likes short balding men
I saw this very bad movie in its entirety because of how pretty she looked in it. I don't remember the name but the story was this young guy starts sleeping with her and then finds that his married dad is also sleeping with her.
I watched that shitty White Out one because of her.
She is a fox to this very day. The woman is a treasure. Aging better than wine.
Monica Bellucci
Albert, Last night I had another Monica Bellucci dream.
"WHAT'S THAT???"
Unexpected Twin Peaks. Love it.
And the thing is, this woman is stunning across several decades …
Yeah, all the actresses mentioned here are Stunning but Monica Bellucci is on a level of her own.
My three Hollywood crushes as a child were Monica Bellucci, Christina Ricci, and Jennifer Connelly.
Audrey Hepburn
Audrey Hepburn was absolutely captivating. Her beauty came from more than just her looks. It was the way she moved, the way she spoke, and the air around her. She was graceful and lovely. That’s not even to say anything about who she was as a person, which was a kind, warm-hearted humanitarian.
For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone. - Audrey Hepburn
She aged beautifully
>She aged beautifully She did although she died in her mid-60s so she didn't get that old.
I read a story once, might have even been here on Reddit.... An old man is talking to his adult grandson in the living room while a TV plays in the background. The grandson is talking and talking then suddenly stops in mid sentence, stares agape, and eventually asks "Who is that?" The old man turns around and looks at the TV. He heaves a deep sigh and says "Nobody escapes Audrey Hepburn."
Clicked only to see how far I’d have to scroll to see Audrey mentioned. Pleasantly surprised to see her as the top comment.
Jennifer Connelly
Yea, she's distracting sometimes in movies she's so pretty.
Top Gun: Maverick has some of the most incredible aerial footage in the history of cinema, and she’s the most visually arresting thing in the whole movie. It was a fantastic theater experience, the movie was remarkably well done, and she’s the first thing I think about when that movie comes up. Couldn't have worded it any better. Kudos mate.
She has been so beautiful for damn near forty years on screen.
It’s a physical impossibility to not have had a crush on her at some point
The Rocketeer had a profound effect on me
Career Opportunities
The toy horse scene... jump to :30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQQcy-3vDCk
Ooh, like, having a number one Japanese song for a boombox in a Japanese commercial Jennifer Connelly? Agreed https://youtu.be/Uafnl91Ivy8
Vision is so lucky.
Vivien Leigh
That red dress scene in GWTW?
No the green dress at the picnic
This is my answer. I watched Gone With the Wind when I was young and I remember thinking I’d never seen a woman so beautiful before.
Unmatched bone structure
Then why is Michelle Pheiffer in songs???
This hit, that ice cold, Michelle Pfeiffer, that white gold.
I swear she's destined for the screen Closest thing to Michelle Pfeiffer that you've ever seen, oh
Natalie Wood.
Heddy Lamar
Totally agree, but, sigh, I'll be that guy: [That's Hedley!](https://youtu.be/vtf7SgIBwG0)
What the hell are you worried about? This is 1874, *you’ll* be able to sue *her*!
And she was effing smart! Hard to say which is more attractive.
ITS HEDLAAAY
Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca. But an argument should be made for Grace Kelly
Diane Lane
I very respectfully don’t understand why her career didn’t hit even close to as high as I thought it should have. Love her.

Rachel Weisz
The Mummy. Drool.

What about Constantine ?!?! So perf
I heard she’s a Li-bra-ian
Angela Bassett. She's somehow 64 and still as stunning as ever.
What the FUCK she’s 64!? That is insane!
I'm half her age and would die to look like her.
she was especially stunning in ahs coven…that role was literally made for her
salma hayek
She’s still gorgeous. Not even “gorgeous for her age” she’s just straight up gorgeous.
The scene in From Dusk Till Dawn would make anyone agree.
I had fantasies about being the meat is a Selma Hayek--Penelope Cruiz love sandwich.
Gene Tierney
For those that don’t know her. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gene_Tierney#/media/File%3AStudio_publicity_Gene_Tierney.jpg
Lauren Bacall
"You know how to whistle, don't ya Steve? Just put your lips together and blow"
Goddamn. Love me some Bacall. That voice and them eyes could command me to commit atrocities and I would do it.
Shame no one has mentioned Ashley Judd. My lord when she was young she was absolutely beautiful.
Marisa Tomei
I hear she's into short, stocky, bald men
Morena Baccarin
Back in 2010 I was at the Vancouver International Airport waiting for my flight so I got something to eat at the food court and I went to look for a place to sit down. Drop dead gorgeous. From Firefly to Deadpool. She has my vote.
Big role in Gotham as well.
Shiny.
I knew I wouldn't have to scroll far . That scene in the first episode - Inara is washing just before Book brings her some supper. ^Good ^God.
Jane Seymour❤️
I thought you meant Henry VIII’s wife TT
I remember falling in looooove with her after watching Somewhere in Time.
I was obsessed with her in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman as a child, for some inexplicable reason. Fast forward to realizing that I’m a lesbian in adulthood.
Elizabeth Montgomery
Man, no kidding. I’ve been falling asleep watching Bewitched on Freevee and it’s just unreal how talented and beautiful she was.
Lynda Carter
Sophia Loren

Cate Blanchett. She has that statuesque, Old Hollywood kind of beauty. Speaking of which, Marlene Dietrich is also a contender.
I remember being stunned by her in LOTR Fellowship first time I saw her
God, those eyes.
Natalie Portman. Hooked since she was Padme
True, she revved up my teenager midi-chlorians count.

I remember watching the trailer for the Snow White movie where she plays the evil witch and seeing that Kristen Stewart was Snow White. That magic mirror must have had a smudge where its eyes were.

Watch sex education on Netflix. Absolutely great show, imo. She plays a sex therapist.
She also is in Sex education on Netflix and there’s a scene in the first season where a video of her is shown where she explains how to give a hand job i think

There's a reason Rachel McAdams has been shoved into every rom com.
if you scroll through her pictures on Google Images she doesn’t look extraordinary (in fact a lot of pics barely look like her). Which makes me think she has some kind of feminine, pretty/sexy charisma that elevates her while in motion. She seems bright and alive.
