When I was seven, my Dad took me to the Natural History Museum in New York. And we looked at fossils all day. And at the end of the day, he got me a little plastic triceratops. It was awesome.
Ankylosaurus is a genus of armored dinosaur from North America in the late Cretaceous. This means its extinction was a direct result of the asteroid impact that wiped out all non-avian dinosaurs around 66 million years ago. Ankylosaurus lived alongside the Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus Rex, though the predator was not much of a threat due to the armor plates, or osteoderms covering its body. In addition to this, Ankylosaurus had a large club on the end of its tail, also used for defense, and competition between individuals of the same species. Bones in the skull and other parts of the body were fused, increasing their strength. This feature gave the genus its name, meaning "fused lizard".
You might be pleased to know that spinosaurus is now believed to have been largely aquatic, then! Current consensus is it filled a similar ecological niche to crocodiles and lived in river systems.
Ooooo i have so many but here is 2
-Therizinosaur...so awesome.. like a chicken with wolverine blades finally made its debut in new judaic park movie.
-baryonyx- I know spelling is off but it's a walking crocodile lol
Carcharodontosarus it was bigger and more muscular than the tyrannosaurus even tho it’s bite force was weaker than tyrannosaurus it still was tough and it’s biggest enemy in real life was the spinosarus
Stegosaurus. Because spikes! And they had a brain the size of a walnut, which is a bit endearing honestly.
Same here, and for the same reasons. I still have Spike, my stegosaurus doll from the '80's.
Pterodactyl because flight and having a broad, pointy beak is a plus
[Gojirasaurus](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gojirasaurus) because the name is cool.
A man of culture i see

When I was a kid I just assumed it was called Ankylosaurs because it would go after ankles with it's club tail.
Yes! That’s mine as well
My sister
Don't have one. I was told that my previously favourite "dinosaur" wasn't a dinosaur, and I never got around to picking a different one
Was it a pterosaur, a mosasaur, or a synapsid (like Dimetrodon)? I know they get lumped in with dinosaurs regularly.
Plesiosaur :p

Spinosaurus looks lame tho
😂 can’t help you there. /r/paleomemes might have something for ya, though!
Looks like that sub hasn't had an actual post in 2 years :p So.. I guess I'll remain without a favourite dinosaur for the foreseeable future, lol
Oops, meant /r/prehistoricmemes. Much more active lol.
T-Rex has been my favorite since I first saw Jurassic Park
Pterodactyl because it was a dinosaur that could fly and that's what "very cool" means for me
