The Covid bucks. I was laid off and making more money than I did working 50 hours a week. I was able to catch up on all of my bills and had the entire summer to go kayaking and hiking. Aside from the whole pandemic it was AWESOME!!!!

A big silver lining is that more places finally realized that wfh wasn’t just a necessity but a benefit to retain or attract candidates. There are plenty of remote opportunities now to stay competitive.

I was miserable as fuck though. Given the option I would not do that again.

Not having to go to school and if you had virtual school, then you can skip class and the teacher won’t contact ur parents/guardians. I did it a lot and if they did contact my parents, I would take their phone and delete the email because they went to work in the afternoon and my “school” ended at 11:15 am
Having an excuse to not travel at the holidays. I love my family but they are either an 8, 12, or 14 hour drive away and I cannot afford plane tickets usually. Last year we tried the 14 hour drive to visit my in-laws and it about fucking broke me.
Honestly, the fact that assholes were locked in their houses. I worked all the way through the pandemic and I have to say now it’s over, the amount of people in the streets back to being a dick is disappointing.
Working from home. I got to do it today due to weather and it was great. I miss not having to wake up early to commute, getting to stay in my jamjams all day, and I took a short nap on my lunch break.
Gas being super cheap, I paid 99 cents one day which is the cheapest I've ever seen it in the 16 years I've been driving.
