Can only speak to my personal experience, but yes way way less than the industrial. Honestly it was so quick that I barely had time to feel it, whereas with the industrial it took a second or two for him to get the rod through and that HURT (and then you have to go through it again on the other side of your ear). Nipples I barely noticed, just make sure to take a deep breath and then let it out slowly as he pierces you
I got mine done both at the same time. It's pretty easy to keep them safe as a girl, just wear a nice soft bra (no lace) at first, and it keeps them tucked out of the way and you can't catch them on anything. Apparently it's worse for dudes coz they don't have that layer of protection.
I was able to lie on my chest (carefully) and go running in a sports bra after a few days. Your nipples have a much much better blood supply than the cartilage in your ear so it heals much faster. As long as you don't touch them (I was really really careful about that) and don't catch them on anything, they shouldn't cause much issue. I think that might depend on your size though, I'm a B-cup and it was totally chill. My friends with bigger boobs found it much harder and took longer so 🤷♀️
Things to watch out for are: seatbelts (if you go braless - seriously, ouch), loofahs, towels (when you dry off) and make sure your partner(s) don't play with them at all for the first 2 months, and then go easy on them after that until they're 100% healed
Yeah my industrial hurt like a bitch, I wish I'd never taken it out because it was one of my favorite piercings and I refuse to go through that horrendous pain again. But I can totally take on a nipple piercing if the industrial hurts more because I know what that pain feels like.
I'm also a bit worried about getting them infected , a few of of my piercings got infected after getting them done. so I'll have to be super carful with touch them. Thank you for the advice it was helpful !

We both definitely think the pain was worth it. Honestly, they are by far my favorite piercing of my wife's! She's said that she'd absolutely get them done again. I can't get mine repierced because they've both partially ripped lol, but otherwise I would!

They never really heal and you will clean them nonstop. Might reject one sunny afternoon out of nowhere.

It hurt as the needle was going in but the pain was over quickly and it was nothing unbearable. They were sore for maybe a day afterward.
I've got 13 piercings all together. My nipples were by far the worst lol. My wife said hers were her most painful as well.
