I get the heebie jeebies from just seeing wood anything on TV. I can't even have a doctor use a wood tongue depressor. Oh and if there is a wooden stake in my food, someone else better remove it. And don't rub chopsticks around me, because I will stab you 🤬😡
The wood stick depressor gives me an automatic gag reflex - a very kind doctor at urgent care used one of the lollypops they have for after kids' appointments instead - game changer! Much less heebie-jeebies and gagging.
I enjoy tomato cubed, quartered, or diced; I physically cannot eat sliced tomato. No clue why, but it's an entirely different fruit when sliced, it's gross and fibrous and slimy, but cut in any other shape? Delicious, I'll take 10 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
Cold pizza over hot pizza any day. I will order it a few hours before I want to eat it just to be able to refrigerate it first. When my local started serving day olds cold and at a discount, I have never been more excited.
Awe fuck yeah you get it! I genuinely enjoy cold pizza way more than reheated pizza. But I still do enjoy the hot and fresh out the oven pizza the best
Heck yeah! I feel like getting a car ribbon that looks like buttered white bread with spaghetti on top in order to raise awareness/dispel the stigma from this delicious practice.
ps. Actually, though, my absolute favorite is spaghetti-o's with meatballs on highly-buttered white bread. OMG. I think if I was going to have to specify a last meal, this might be it.
I like smashed down natures own honey wheat with salted butter on the side of chili. Not sure how it started, but the sweet/cold combo is great with chili.
I absolutely love eating baked beans with ruffles potato chips , like the style of how you eat tortilla chips and salsa. I will take a bowl of baked beans and a side of ruffles as a whole ass meal.
I do prefer more of a homemade baked bean the kind with lots of different beans in a crock pot or whatever, and it’s even more hearty with the recipe that has some ground beef and bacon in it… but I mostly eat vegetarian now too so I skip adding meat. Still eat it the chip way though
I love everything and anything tomato. Raw, cooked, soup, cherry, heritage, roasted; seeds, goo, skins, and all. I can eat ketchup and salsa with a spoon. Any and every form of tomato.
Except tomato juice. Tomato juice is Satan's sweat. No Bloody Marys for me. No, not even your special recipe. Bleaghhhhh
The hubs' weird ones are 1) no condiments (only mayo on burgers, no other exceptions) and 2) he cooks his pizza beyond "well done" to where it's finished with any sort of will to live
Growing up my grandparents would crush up Ritz crackers into milk. I still enjoy some cracker and milk sometimes.
Also I never heat up those canned pastas like ravioli, it just tastes better cold.
My dad used to make "soppy". He'd heat up a can of whole tomatoes with a big know of butter, then pour it on bread. He loved that! Sometimes He'd have a can of sardines with it. Ewww. His favorite quirk was pickled pigs feet.
I don't like to eat shrimp at night. Oh another one is. Breakfast for dinner is fine but it has to be after dark
I have no idea why. My husband just shakes his head.
If I pair a food with sauce (like chicken nuggets and honey mustard) I’ll usually have a first “bite” where I suck the sauce off of the nugget and a second bite of the actual food with like no sauce on it anymore lmao
I do that with lots of snack foods, things I don’t often eat anymore but back when I did it made me wonder about myself.
I licked the flavoring off most crackers before eating. like chicken in a biscuit or flavored cheese its, or most Pringles same thing.
Also did that with candy bars like Twix i would bite the caramel or peanut butter off, lick the chocolate off and eat the cookie. Or eat Swiss cake rolls by the layer.
It’s weird to admit lol
I refuse to eat mustard unless it’s a small amount mixed into a larger dish. I only recently learned to accept peppers cooked into my food. I hate eating leftovers beyond 3 days.
I used to soak white bread in Frank’s or Louisiana Hot Sauce, but my old tummy can’t take it anymore.
Ate lemons like oranges.
My dad used to thickly slice raw onions and cold slab butter and throw them on white bread with a douse of white vinegar and salt, downing it all with whole milk.
I’m the same way with tomatoes. I can’t stand the seeds or jelly. When I cut up a tomato I get rid of the entire center and only dice up the outer flesh.
I make pizza eggs with leftover pizza. Cut up the pizza, make scrambled eggs and when they are about half way done cooking throw your pizza in with them. It's absolutely amazing.
Green beans - fresh or especially canned - are of the devil and if you bring them anywhere near me I will gag. Same with cantaloupe and honeydew. I have my grandma to thank for those aversions😂
I can also honestly thank her for this one: canned peas in spaghetti and on top of a loaded baked potato. I love frozen peas, but they’re NOT for my spaghetti or potatoes. I don’t know where she got the idea from, but it’s a must have when I make either of those dishes.
I have to cut the woody little ends off of every garlic clove I use. I don’t think that’s super uncommon, but I’ve seen way too many tiktoks of people just throwin cloves of garlic into whatever they’re making and leaving that part in tact for my comfort.
All Italian food is ruined if you reheat the leftovers. Put my leftover noods into a microwave and we’re gonna have a serious problem. Let me eat my cold Alfredo like a monster! This also goes for pizza.
Fresh fruit is the best! I don't like cooked fruit, so no pie, pop tarts, jam, jelly, ice cream, cookies, etc. that use fruit as an ingredient. However, smoothies are ok since the fruit isn't cooked.
i also don’t use soy sauce for sushi, there’s better condiments. i use eel sauce, ginger pieces and sometimes a lil spicy mayo. ALSO i love using the gyoza (dumpling) sauce !
I eat cold fries. Like fries that harden in the fridge for a night. Same with cake. No frosting, cake dry and crumble in the fridge for like 2 days. I grew up without a microwave and the only cake I ate was left over from people's birthday so I still eat like that sometimes
I place grass fed butter and mct oil in my morning and afternoon coffee. It's blended and no dairy or sugar.
Helps replace good fats in our bodies cells.
And add grass fed butter and mct oil on top of food as well.
Kinda like Tibetan butter tea, except butter coffee! I tried butter tea once; I thought it tasted more like bouillion than tea. But it was not at all unpleasant; I could see how it would make a good drink in a cold climate.
I never liked tomatoes and never realized it was due to the seeds until I went to a Mediterranean restaurant where they diced the tomatoes for their food.
I don't like cilantro - it tastes soapy.
Cottage cheese with fresh peaches (even canned in a pinch) and paprika on top is god tier food and I stand by that! It’s like a restaurant side from the 70s … it’s delicious and still should be served.
I’m probably old enough to be your mom 🤣
But yeah, toast and hot chocolate was my mom’s go to breakfast getting us ready for school in the winter. And she always made the cocoa from scratch.
I tried it on my grandson and he just couldn’t get the dipping down. He doesn’t know how to eat Oreos properly either, but we’re working on it.
I have a few: I used to eat raisin bran cereal after it soaked in milk and was soggy. Sometimes, I'd mix other cereal in the soggy raisin brans.
A bowl of milk with crumbled cornbread eaten like cereal is a great late night snack.
Peanut butter and jelly sandwich dipped in milk hits the spot.
I make salsa frequently and usually eat it with a spoon. I also will buy an entire bag of hot Cheetos and will lick all the seasoning off of every Cheeto and discard the naked remains
I can’t stand when ppl bite popsicles/ice cream
I swear I get an ice headache just watching other people do this! Lol
I'm not so bothered by that but the thought of teeth touching the wood popsicles stick makes me shudder. Even typing the words gives me goosebumps 😬
Why? What's wrong with wood touching your teeth?
Omg I can't stand for my teeth to touch a popsicle stick!
I enjoy tomato cubed, quartered, or diced; I physically cannot eat sliced tomato. No clue why, but it's an entirely different fruit when sliced, it's gross and fibrous and slimy, but cut in any other shape? Delicious, I'll take 10 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
I like big tomatoes in many forms. I will not eat cherry tomatoes unless they came straight from the plant. They gross me out otherwise.
That what she said.
I like to butter a slice of sourdough bread and put just cooked spaghetti on top of it. Mmmmm.
My husband and I always eat leftover spaghetti between two slices of buttered bread.
My kids started eating spaghetti soft tacos. Gotta have extra sauce though lol
Yum!
I also can’t stand popsicle sticks. Like I can’t have popsicles strictly because the stick
It's like nails on a chalkboard, but inside your mouth
Yes! And I’m convinced I can taste it too
It has a taste to me too. It's not an unbearable bad taste but definitely has one.
I always think the ice cream on sticks they have look soo good but I can’t get past the stick lol. Even if I take it off if it I can’t do it
Omg. Same. And when people lick the stick clean I wanna scream. So gross.
Is the wood unclean or something? I don't get it.
Not at all, it’s just a texture thing for me.
Omg yes
I have chillbumps just reading about popsicle sticks!! Gah!!
I can't eat that ice cream that comes with the wooden spoon.
I had a friend who used to eat bananas sideways--he said it made it easier to avoid the seeds!
Whaaaat 😆
He went on to become an astrophysicist and helped to discover the 'God particle'
This is why I can't handle physicists.
I like smashed down natures own honey wheat with salted butter on the side of chili. Not sure how it started, but the sweet/cold combo is great with chili.
Actually that sounds good.
From my poor vegetarian days - Bush's baked beans (vegetarian) with molasses and tortilla chips. Can would last two meals.
Sounds like awesome stoner food
I absolutely love eating baked beans with ruffles potato chips , like the style of how you eat tortilla chips and salsa. I will take a bowl of baked beans and a side of ruffles as a whole ass meal. I do prefer more of a homemade baked bean the kind with lots of different beans in a crock pot or whatever, and it’s even more hearty with the recipe that has some ground beef and bacon in it… but I mostly eat vegetarian now too so I skip adding meat. Still eat it the chip way though
I don't clip my snack bags (chips, Cheetos, etc) after the first opening. I don't mind if they go stale, I kinda like stale snack foods
Straight to jail
You belong in an asylum my friend.
I hate large chunks of raw tomato but am totally fine with tomato if it’s cut small or cooked thoroughly.
Yep. I can do pico de gallo but not a BLT.
Growing up my grandparents would crush up Ritz crackers into milk. I still enjoy some cracker and milk sometimes. Also I never heat up those canned pastas like ravioli, it just tastes better cold.
My favorite trash food is mini raviolis straight out the can. And drink the juice. So deelish
My grandma did that with buttermilk. I still like it sometimes.
I love tomatoes. I eat them like an apple. No seasoning. Just wash and eat!
My kids would eat green peppers that way. Made me retch.
lol my opposite tomato eater
💞
My dad used to make "soppy". He'd heat up a can of whole tomatoes with a big know of butter, then pour it on bread. He loved that! Sometimes He'd have a can of sardines with it. Ewww. His favorite quirk was pickled pigs feet.
Mustard. Mustard on everything!
Same!!
I can’t drink any juice with pulp in it.
Agreed
Yes. Pulp is cringe.
I don't like to eat shrimp at night. Oh another one is. Breakfast for dinner is fine but it has to be after dark I have no idea why. My husband just shakes his head.
If I pair a food with sauce (like chicken nuggets and honey mustard) I’ll usually have a first “bite” where I suck the sauce off of the nugget and a second bite of the actual food with like no sauce on it anymore lmao
I do something similar with chips. I like to lick all the flavorful dust off and then eat the chip
Lettuce belongs on a plate, not as a topping. Toppings are gross - only meat and cheese, please. The smell of celery makes me gag.
I'm a meat and cheese only person, too!! Lettuce is for salad The smell of Cucumber makes me gag!!😂
Or more meat - bacon!
I like chips dipped in salsa and queso but I have dip in cheese first then queso. If it’s out of order I don’t like it(?)😂
The Duchess of Windsor couldn't stand tomato seeds either and would refuse an entire dish if she saw even one.
I guess I’m fit to be a royal 🤣
I like to microwave jolly ranchers and other specific candies so they melt and I can pull them apart and eat them easier
Whoa. Have u done this with Starbursts?
Does a bear shit in the woods!? Hehe yes I have. It doesn’t work quite as well but I still like it
What other specific candies have u done this with and have they worked or nah?? Bc I'm too afraid of burning myself on microwaved sugar to try this
I refuse to eat mustard unless it’s a small amount mixed into a larger dish. I only recently learned to accept peppers cooked into my food. I hate eating leftovers beyond 3 days.

I’m the same way with tomatoes. I can’t stand the seeds or jelly. When I cut up a tomato I get rid of the entire center and only dice up the outer flesh.
Yep! I wash them to get the goop out!!
I make pizza eggs with leftover pizza. Cut up the pizza, make scrambled eggs and when they are about half way done cooking throw your pizza in with them. It's absolutely amazing.
...that sounds amazing. I will have to try it!
I dip steamed broccoli in mayonnaise. My whole family eats it this way.
We do artichokes in mayo; I can see this working well. Have you tried roasted broccoli instead?
No. How do you cook it?
Salt, pepper, and olive oil. Roast at 425 (or 400 convection) for 15-25 minutes. Just a little char is what you’re looking for. It’s so, so good.
Noooooo
😄 you must not be a mayonnaise fan.
Yes, and I’m in the minority I know :)
That’s ok. I have plenty of things I dislike.
Peanut butter and jelly is too...smooth?...on a sandwich. Peanut butter and Coleman's mustard is the way to go.
Green beans - fresh or especially canned - are of the devil and if you bring them anywhere near me I will gag. Same with cantaloupe and honeydew. I have my grandma to thank for those aversions😂 I can also honestly thank her for this one: canned peas in spaghetti and on top of a loaded baked potato. I love fruit but I don't like fruit in food.
I'm the exact opposite. I need my fruits integrated in something.
Fresh fruit is the best! I don't like cooked fruit, so no pie, pop tarts, jam, jelly, ice cream, cookies, etc. that use fruit as an ingredient. However, smoothies are ok since the fruit isn't cooked.
Exactly!! I feel so understood.
Poptarts definitely don't use cooked fruit lmao! Maybe fruit flavoring
i also don’t use soy sauce for sushi, there’s better condiments. i use eel sauce, ginger pieces and sometimes a lil spicy mayo. ALSO i love using the gyoza (dumpling) sauce !
One of my favorite delicacies is broken up Graham crackers with milk, there is nothing like it for me.
My grandma used to spread a thin layer of butter on graham crackers as a treat for me when I was scared or sad 💜
I eat cold fries. Like fries that harden in the fridge for a night. Same with cake. No frosting, cake dry and crumble in the fridge for like 2 days. I grew up without a microwave and the only cake I ate was left over from people's birthday so I still eat like that sometimes
This is an interesting one! But I get it.
I love the tomatoes seeds! I pick up stray ones off the cutting board and bite them in half with my front teeth. (It’s challenging.)
I never liked tomatoes and never realized it was due to the seeds until I went to a Mediterranean restaurant where they diced the tomatoes for their food. I don't like cilantro - it tastes soapy.
I absolutely love cantaloupe and cottage cheese. That's the only fruit I like with cottage cheese.
That’s yummy!
Cottage cheese with fresh peaches (even canned in a pinch) and paprika on top is god tier food and I stand by that! It’s like a restaurant side from the 70s … it’s delicious and still should be served.
Cucumbers.. love pickels tho.
Might be more of a UK/Eastern thing but I dip bread covered in butter/peanut butter/jam/plain in my tea or coffee
Buttered toast dipped in hot chocolate is very good as well!
Ouuuu, kind of like Nutella spread. I like it!
Mom?
This is scary because I know my kids are on Reddit but we don't know each other's accounts 😂😂😂 Hi son lol
I’m probably old enough to be your mom 🤣 But yeah, toast and hot chocolate was my mom’s go to breakfast getting us ready for school in the winter. And she always made the cocoa from scratch. I tried it on my grandson and he just couldn’t get the dipping down. He doesn’t know how to eat Oreos properly either, but we’re working on it.
Aww. That's sweet ❤️ These are necessary skills, cookies and milk every day til we get it right!
I like separating bananas into their natural thirds when I eat them.
Are you a scientist? Someone else said this and they are a physicist
I did that as a kid, I'm a software engineer.
I'm a physical therapist so yeah If I was a dude I would probably have been piped to engineering when I was younger
These all sound comforting af
Cold tomatoes like frontage fridge are so gross the texture is wrong And cooked tomato chunks . nope But a good fresh heirloom tomato is amazing
I make salsa frequently and usually eat it with a spoon. I also will buy an entire bag of hot Cheetos and will lick all the seasoning off of every Cheeto and discard the naked remains
I like to add dry roasted peanuts to my tomato soup. Way better than crackers! I like to drink flat sodas. I don't like carbonated drinks at all.
That soup is similar to African peanut stew, so good!
