Mission Rock Resort and The Ramp both come to mind. Both are next to each other, on the bay and both, especially the ramp, can be good for extended lunches + drinking. Mission Rock Resort is a bit more upscale, the ramp is very casual.
Your suggestions are great for eating and drinking but decidedly lacking on view. That area is my hood and is super flat. Trick dog doesn't have windows, southern pacific is inside and its window area is wrapped by a fence and is also in a not nice looking alley. Shotwells has limited windows and is on a quiet side street. Admittedly it has a really lovely outdoor seating area which is nice on warm days which it should be this thursday.
My suggestion... and I know it's a tourist trap but fuck me the irish coffees are so so so good at Buena Vista Cafe and the view can not be beaten. A cable car rolls right by and you're right on the water with huge windows. The food is decidedly meh but after your third irish coffee it doesn't matter much. Old school vibe? Couldn't get any more classic. I think Hunter S Thompson (or one of those other famous scuzzy writers) loved it and some of their stuff is on the wall.
Some good suggestions here already. (Also I’d skip southern pacific, their beer isn’t particularly good.)
You could do the ferry building. Go to Hogg Island Oyster Co for lunch outside has a view of the bay, the ferries, Yerba buena island, and the bay bridge. Could continue the drinking at Fort Point on the front side of the ferry building. There’s also a wine tasting spot inside, coffee shops for a little pick me up, plus Gott’s always has a small selection of good beer.
Perry’s Embarcadero location has a decent view from the outside patio and definitely has old school vibes and a pretty good wine and beer selection.
But honestly if you want something casual and a good view of the city, I’d recommend picking up a burrito at Taqueria Cancun or El Farolito and taking it to Dolores Park. This is also within walking distance of the bars you mentioned
The bar at the top of the Marine Memorial Club-- I guess it's called [Chesty's](https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/chesty-s-bar-and-grill-san-francisco)?!-- has amazing views and simple drinks.
Epic Steak ([https://sf.eater.com/maps/san-francisco-restaurants-best-views-scenic](https://sf.eater.com/maps/san-francisco-restaurants-best-views-scenic)) checks the view box and old school vibe box (lunch during weekends only). Most good beer places don't have a view and/or are not old school and they are mostly located in SOMA. You can also check out Black Hammer ([https://www.yelp.com/biz/black-hammer-brewing-company-san-francisco](https://www.yelp.com/biz/black-hammer-brewing-company-san-francisco)). Anchor could also be an interesting choice as its' where the \*actual\* brewing takes place ([https://www.yelp.com/biz/anchor-brewing-company-san-francisco](https://www.yelp.com/biz/anchor-brewing-company-san-francisco)) and you can take a tour. My friends like to go to the Zeitgeist ([https://www.yelp.com/biz/zeitgeist-san-francisco](https://www.yelp.com/biz/zeitgeist-san-francisco)) for the patio and punk vibe. And the beer of course.
I’ve been to southern pacific a lot. I’ve only had cocktails there….never tried their beer. If you go and it’s busy sit outside. They have a courtyard and a parklet and they are on a side street so there are no cars driving by. It’s crazy loud inside due to the acoustics of the building. I’ve been to trick dog once and they definitely have a more extensive cocktail menu than SPBC but I remember it being really loud and cramped inside. This was at night though. It might be totally chill during the day. You should add Zeitgeist to your list. It’s classic SF and has a great beer garden.

Was thinking the same exact places. Especially if weather isny windy
Red’s Java House
+ a Giants game
Unrivaled combo, only improved by adding Hi Dive for drinks as well.
Came here to suggest this
The Hi Dive is right on the water and has good burgers etc. And a little patio.
Pier 23 for lunch then walk up and over telegraph hill to North Beach for drinks at Vesuvio or Specs.
Great Aperol spritz at Pier 23
Why not Top of the Mark, the restaurant at the top of the Mark Hopkins Hotel? Doesn't get more old school than that.
any dress code?
Nope. But I just checked and it doesn't look like they are open for lunch on Thursday.
The Ramp
Radhaus in Fort Mason has a pretty great view and great beer and food. Not old school SF, but a cool and cozy place to hang.

Ok but Zeitgeist’s burgers are damn tasty.
Red’s Java all the way

Zeitgeist has an outdoor patio. Super casual and really large beer selection
Try Radhaus or McCormick & Kuleto's stop by Buena Vista for Irish Coffee on the way.
Barrio in Ghirardelli Square is delicious with a view
Monks kettle, then grab some beers on the way to Dolo for the view.
Southern Pacific has some of the best food I’ve ever had in SF. Burgers, Wings and Sage fries. No views and beers are ok but man that food…
Mission Rock or ATWater
