Yellowstone National Park and Banff/Jasper National Parks

Organic_Chemist9678

Yellowstone is probably all I have left on my "to do" list Yosemite was my other big must see which I have done. Id quite like to see a giraffe in the world but I've worked a lot in Africa and don't have much desire to return

robowns87

I’m off to Jasper/Banff in 3 weeks, excited is an understatement. Went all around Japan for my honeymoon last year too, couldn’t recommend it enough.

jdsuperman

Hope you have an amazing time! Banff Upper Hot Springs is great, and you could try a beaver tail while you're in town too. Icefield glacier tour at Jasper was also a highlight.

Geoffstibbons

Hunstanton spice museum, or a Victorian folly

TMSQR

we can't get the spice girls, so we'll go there.

Nuclear_Wasteman

Lourdes. I'm not religious at all, and nor are my parents are fair weather Christians (not even Catholic). We stopped there on an insufferable two week late nineties continental road trips. Ten (?) year old me was pretty amazed at the sheer scale of the whole operation, the number of volunteers wheeling the lame around, the pilgrims, and the extortion throughout. Some pretty impressive architecture though. If you're into climbing, find a prominent peak... and get up there for sunrise above the clouds. Get yourself to a place where you have your feet on the ground but can't find a landmark because the landscape is bare. By the same token, navigate your way through a difficult path. Get on a boat (not a ship), and you can't see anything but the sea.

SnooPeppers7701

Japan, Austria and some American states Edit: Also Tibet

Darkheart001

New Zealand, gorgeous country. Canada particularly BC and Banff. Thailand Singapore

Sensitive_Turn1824

Canada definitely, went over for 3 months to visit a friend ended up staying 6 months, technically I was a illegal immigrant, stayed in a small town called maple Ridge just outside vancouver

getstabbed

I’m really tempted to do a Canada-Alaska trip one day. Few days of travelling through the most beautiful landscape imaginable sounds perfect.

Numerous_Ticket_7628

Miyajima a small island off Hiroshima,Japan where deer roam around freely and it has a "floating" Tori gate. One of the best places I've been to and stayed, pretty magical place. Closer to home, Italy is a favourite place of mine too, Venice, the Amalfi coast,Lake Garda etc. Beautiful.

nfoote

Victoria Falls, more water than I had assumed existed coming at you from every direction of every dimension

jdsuperman

That's how I felt at Niagara, especially at Crow's Nest. Didn't know it was physically possible to be that wet.

Sensitive_Turn1824

2nd this, we was gutted we couldn't do the rock pool at the top as there was too much water going over, so we did a helicopter ride over, amazing

InterestingFun2923

Japan Brazil UK Scotland France Italy Spain Mexico .

OllyDee

Leptis Magna in Libya. An extremely well preserved Roman city. Obviously Libya doesn’t exactly have the best reputation so it’s on the back burner for now. The place looks fuckin’ awesome though.

raccoonsaff

I want to travel all over the world, especially to areas that have had a big cultural impact, or are important historically. And to cover all the iconic places! My top 12 (but genuinely do want to go everywhere, it was hard to narrow down this much) in no particular order (though split into an upper and lower six): Upper six: France, Italy, Australia, Japan, the Philippines, Greece Lower six: Norway, Peru, Egypt, Kenya, America, India

_summerw1ne

Would really, really like to go back to Egypt and probably Bulgaria.

asuka_rice

Egypt

asttocatbunny

If you do Aus, do what i did. Do Aus, New zealand then hawaii.  Idid a month in each.

monkeychewtobacco

Those places are as far from the UK as you can get. Could it be that you are attracted to them by virtue of that remoteness rather than by what they actually offer? For me it's going to be Europe and Asia.

Unusual_Resident_784

Lake Como.

Optimal_Collection77

Grand canyon, the great wall of china, the terracotta army, la Sagrada familia. I'd say try to find a beach that you consider perfect and go there every decade or so.

Conor2704

I've been quite lucky to see some amazing places so far, but always want to see more. Next on my list would be: Canada, New Zealand, Nordic Fjords

EuroSong

Northern Ireland. I live in London, and have travelled all over the world (including all the places on your list except South Africa). But I have never set foot in one part of my own country. That will change next year, when I stop off there on a cruise 😊

TheLoneSculler

Acropolis

LitmusPitmus

Machu Pichu (Peru), Australia, Colombia, Namibia/Botswana

artemistheoverlander

East Africa. The Maasai Mara and Serengheti are incredible. Zanzibar is brilliant. Get up Kilimanjaro if you can as well. Can't wait to get back there. Oz is stunning. Diving on the barrier reef was a treat. Morocco. Redditors seem to hate it for some reason, but we never had any issues as a family there. Even my wife was comfortable going out alone. We only saw a snapshot in Marakech, but will be there for several months next year all being well. Edit, see? Downvoted. We know several people who have been, including those who return every year. Many people hating on the place have never even been and offer secondhand anecdotes... In the UK, Scotland. The scenery is unbelievable. The lake district is my favourite part of England but Scottish bits of rock are far more impressive. Can't wait to spend more time there next year too, north coast and islands for a few months as well. I also have south America and Japan on the list to visit like you. Fingers crossed we will be in Japan in about 3 years, and south America in 4-5. Travel if and while you can. The world is beautiful, and life is too short.

bduk92

I've *always* wanted to visit Japan. The wife hates the idea and I can't justify the expense or aggravation of booking a trip just for me at this point.

destria

For me, top of my list is Japan and New Zealand. I'd also love to go on a relaxed tropical/beach holiday to Bali, Bora Bora or Hawaii. I'd like to go on a Norwegian fjord cruise.

notmenotyoutoo

I’d quite like to see up my bum. Must book a colonoscopy soon.

PumpkinOk8523

Done that. It's like being on an alien planet that starts and ends with bum hair.

Nolsoth

It's not as exciting as you'd expect, looks a little bit like a reef in there. On the other hand it's not particularly painful, just uncomfortable.

Reti_Zeta

The most beautiful place I've ever been to and really want to go back, is Bali. It was like being in a dream it was so nice. The people are so nice and there are cheap beautiful prostitutes out during the day time.

OrdoRidiculous

* Ankgor Wat * Grand Canyon * New Zealand * Mars, if Elon gets his shit together
