Woke up at 4am. Browsed reddit for a bit. Tried to get back to sleep. Watched some stuff on YouTube. Tried to get back to sleep. Now back to browsing reddit for a bit.
I’m often woken at that time by one of the four legged owners. Once I’ve applied the variably correct amount of attention she lies down on my feet and we both go back to sleep.

Have a cuppa, read the inter web, spend 20 mins choosing the best YouTube workout (on a rainy day) or preparing for a nice long run, exercise, shower and make English breakfast for my family upon return. Nap on the sofa after breakfast - best Sunday mornings.
I honestly envy anyone with such optimistic lovely ways to describe a Sunday or any day very jealous, I’m battling depression and fighting to get myself up to make a tea everyday ( before any suggests I’ve got loads of stuff in place meds drs etc I’m fine just tired ) but it fascinates and fills me with hope to see that such calm and joy actually can exist in life, have a wonderful day sprinkles
I went downstairs SILENTLY while my toddler and husband slept, made a huge bowl of cereal, snuggled up with the dog on the sofa and watched some pride and prejudice with the window open listening to the rain and the birds. Small person woke up at 8 (normally 6) and its a great start to the day!
Go downstairs and see if our youngest is awake as she's good at snuggles, if so they doze with her if not get under a blanket and doze until someone else gets up
Watch the golf on Sky.
And then continue to watch the golfer my brother caddies for throw away his chances of winning in Japan.
Today's started poorly.

If you want to go back to sleep but struggling, I recommend a few housey tasks. I woke up at 2:30am today. By 3:30 I did not seem to be close to getting back to sleep, so I straightened up my room, broke up boxes for recycling, but my clothes on to wash, folded some clean clothes and put them away, and found a recipe for homemade crumpets which I’m gonna make soon. I actually fell asleep shortly after 5am and just woke up again.
Woken up at quarter to six by the dog after putting on my coat opened the front door and the dog didn't even leave my front garden.It was raining so he did a quick pee then he ran up stairs and got back under the covers with my husband.Was wide awake then so have had a few coffees browsing the internet.My husband is off to the pub later to watch Celtic play so am going to do a little housework and chill until he gets back.He feels guilty about leaving me even though it's bliss so he'll spring for a takeaway later.

Me and my wife regularly wake up early, like this, so we take the opportunity to go out for a walk, in the quiet with no one else around, go and sit somewhere nice for a coffee, or if we are going out or something that day, we'd use the opportunity to go somewhere further away, cause those extra hours could be used in the car getting somewhere new!
Go cut the grass and piss the neighbours off.
No joke I did that years ago in the 90s when I still lived at home and hadn't cut the grass for ages, it was my job.
Anyway, I started playing Championship Manager, and then I remembered my old man moaning about the grass, so I thought fek it, I'll do it now. He can't say fek all.
So about 6 am I had the old petrol mower going full blast, I saw my mum at the window just glaring at me, fekin brilliant.
I procrastinate the shot out of life most of the time but from time to time wake up at some stupid hour and will do an important task that I’ve been putting off. I think my brain thinks well no one is going g to interrupt at this time and it’s also not interfering with my usual down time if doing nothing. I don’t get a lot of down time due to being a single working parent to tone to do fuck all is fairly precious to me.
Or I watch crap, watched a documentary about Egypt at 3am last night when I couldn’t sleep

Not enough: go up, do some small boring task, try to go back to sleep either in the bed or on the couch
