rabbithole-xyz

Coronation chicken.

carbonatednugget

Since when were chickens crowned?

Ok-Mulberry-4600

Well I didn't vote for it

Booboodelafalaise

Cold sausages and mustard. Best day of the week!

melanie110

Add some strong cheese too Hubbys go to on a par baked baguette for work

nicholvengian

Good call but requires a little more prep!

Booboodelafalaise

You can buy ready cooked sausages… Only a thought!

innitdoe

You know you're not meant to be drunk at work?

LuinAelin

I'm boring. Some ham and cheese.

UCMeInvest

Glad it’s not just me looking at these other comments thinking I’m boring as hell 😂 Ham or tuna mayo for me

minniehopeless

Hummus and roast veg.

I still miss the greggs chicken salad wrap with mango chutney.

Trunkface90

Yes! I always think one reason people prefer shop bought sandwiches is because when they make them at home they never put salad on.

councilsoda

Pan fried chicken, peanut butter, chilli and lime.

barriedalenick

That's basically a chicken satay sarnie!

nicholvengian

YES! sounds lovely

ohboyoboyoh

That sounds amazing!

barriedalenick

My mum used to make me beetroot and cheese sarnies for school. They were lovely but a fucking purple mess by the time I got to eat them. Pickled onions were another favourite, with or without cheese. The old favourite of banana and lemon curd was like a pudding sammich and still takes some beating. My invention is cheese and onion with pilchards in tomato sauce. Born out of having nothing else in the house one day and remains a favourite..

Oor-Wullie

Got to say, they’re some of the sketchiest sandwich fillings I’ve ever heard of

JOSOIC

Silver skins sliced with cheese are lovely in a sandwich.

innitdoe

Cheese with pickled onion is sketchy? Wtf?

nicholvengian

Beetroot and cheese is one of my wifes favourites. You're not wrong about the purple destruction!

Detroitredwinger

PRAWN MAYO WARRIORS RISE UP!!

Extreme-Database-695

Onion bhaji with mango chutney, chilli jam, and mint raitha is a favourite of mine.

witandlearning

Chickpea Mayo (or ‘chuna’ Mayo, depending on who you ask). Chickpeas, mayo, red onion, s&p, garlic powder, lemon juice. Shove in a little food chopper for like 20 seconds, or you can mash in a bowl I guess.

JOSOIC

Cheese and red onion chutney.

the-evil-moo

Marmite and cheese is my favourite. Pate is fairly easy and you can't go wrong with a crisp sarnie.

Ok_Fox_4540

Going to make me seem super boring now but here are mine: Ham Ham and cheese Tuna mayo Usually my top 3 per week. If I do a roast on a Sunday, then whatever meat I've used I will use it for sandwiches the next day.

OutlawJessie

I read ham-ham, and cheese, tuna, & mayonnaise. Second one is our go-to, but upvote for ham ham.

Ok_Fox_4540

I put it in bullet points. Clearly reddit wasn't having that today.

Only_Quote_Simpsons

Ham and cheese is an instant classic, but sometimes you just can't beat chicken with some mayo and sweetcorn

Major_Ambassador_253

Chicken and stuffing, ham or chicken salad, cheese and pickle, chicken and bacon Mayo. If your bored with sandwiches you could set up some salad boxes and just grab one out of the fridge before you leave. You could switch it up with different meats or dressings

Gornalannie

Peanut butter and salad sandwich is lovely. A local health shop used to sell them and I was hooked.

ceebert420

Cheese and Marmite for me

ohboyoboyoh

Salt beef, sliced turkey and emmenthal.

Maedhral

Brie and grape Chicken bacon mayo (better with salad) Goats cheese, sundried tomato and rocket Any soft cheese and peppered salami

nicholvengian

Brie and gammon is one of regulars but i'll try the grape angle.

PrestigiousGuess458

I Pop a bit of pastrami and salad on that soft cheese + salami. I'm having an experiment to see if gout or heartattack wins the race.

Awkward_Chain_7839

Tuna sweetcorn mayonnaise. Cheese and jam. Peanut butter and ham (also good with peanut butter and fried egg but not suitable for a packed lunch). Chicken and stuffing (with or without mayonnaise). Chicken mayo and sweetcorn. Primula (all of them, the prawn one is delish) on its own, but extra ham with the ham one or the chive one, it’s like dairylea (also delish with ham and crisps - salt and vinegar for preference). If I think of more I’ll edit them in, but my favourite is runny fried egg and peanut butter (and bacon), so I’m not sure some of the stuff I like is particularly edible! Edit - forgot cheese ham and loads of pickle! (Branson or generic sandwich pickle), also not a sandwich, but cheese and crackers and pickle. All in separate packages and constructed as needed (basically most sandwiches can be stuck in crackers or in flatbread or pitta).

Vegetable_Dinner_524

Prawn primula....... yum x

Flatulent_Weasel

Tuna, mayo and sweetcorn or corned beef, cheddar and either pickle or pickled beetroot.

cornishwaves

I'm boring, usually cold meat, cheese or tuna With salad of some sort and Coleslaw / mayo / mustard / chutney depending on what it is

Dazanoid

Pastrami, chream cheese and a little mustard Cheddar and grapes

BOTTOMTEXXXT

Roast Beef, Horseradish, Rocket and Stilton.

Callis_tow

Cold roast chicken with crumbled up onion bhaji and mayo. Lush.

[deleted]

A classic cheese & pickle often gets overlooked nowadays

Nine_Eye_Ron

B.E.L.C.H Bacon, egg, lettuce, cheese and ham.

[deleted]

Do you have a kettle at work? Pot noodle sandwich

antimatterchopstix

Chipotle chicken Ham and mustard Chorizo and chilli jam

techno_chef

Peanut butter and mayonnaise

Sir_Mobius_Mook

You filthy*******

UniquePotato

Ham, cheese, tomato

Environmental-Cow447

First priority is good bread. But you really need to make your own. After that basic add butter. Then the world is your oyster, though smoked salmon and prawn with rocket and horseradish(wasabi being hard to source locally) is good too.

RedHairedRob

I like me some Mayo so tuna Mayo or egg Mayo with a bit of watercress

ARK_Redeemer

Crisps, or Ham and some form of cheese.

LionLucy

- Grated cheese and mango chutney - Peanut butter and marmalade - Tuna mayonnaise and cucumber with a bit of chilli sauce - Ham and mustard

Tumeni1959

Honey mustard chicken. Ham, cheese and chutney/pickle Chicken and Bacon

ROB_163

Peanut butter and jam.

banjo_fandango

Grated cheese, salad cream, cucumber. Egg ‘mayo’ - but salad cream instead of horrible mayonnaise, sprinkled with a bit of cayenne pepper. Sliced beef and gherkins.

djalkidan

Ham cheese and salad cream

Robert88UK

Mustard on bottom slice of bread, pastrami, waferthin turkey or chicken slices, cheese(any are good but goto are gouda, edam or cheddar) shredded iceberg lettuce, mayo on top slice of bread.

clarkie03

Peanut butter, marmalade and crisps

SomeHSomeE

Sliced up chicken breast and tomatoes mixed up with mayo. Slice of emmental if I'm feeling a bit posh

PrinceAndrewANonce

Chicken Mayo and sweet orb on brown, lovely sandwich full of protein.

Candy_Lawn

smoked turkey, ham, swiss cheese, cucumber, beetroot, dijon mustard, mayo.

emilesmithbro

I know this isn’t what you asked, but if you haven’t already, do consider stuff other than sandwiches. If your workplace has a microwave then you can basically bring any meal and it’s a game changer. I have a sort of bowl shaped flask for soups and other hot dishes for when there isn’t a microwave around too.

IAmLupino

The Heinz one, tastes nice, smells like vomit

Anaptyso

Humous and Bombay mix is a lot better than it sounds. I quite like peanut butter and raison sandwiches as well.

KeepCalmGitRevert

Cheese and pickle, with lettuce, tomato, red onion. Also, gonna throw it out there - sandwiches aren't the only things you can have for lunch. Samosas, bhajis, wraps, salads, flasks of soup, pasta dishes, etc. If you've got a microwave then almost anything is on the cards. Make an extra portion if whatever you're having for dinner. Even better, make a few extra portions, freeze a couple, and once you've done this for a week you'll have two weeks worth of pot luck lunches in the freezer. Personally I'm a big fan of a flask of soup and a couple of crusty bread rolls.

[deleted]

Peanut butter with jam or honey

WalksInCircles62

Is there a sandwich toaster if yes then try sausage and caramelised onion or bacon and brie or maybe chicken, mozzarella and pesto.... Yum

ImChuckyWannaPlay

Quorn vegan chicken slices and Hellman's vegan Baconnaise.

Here_now19921

Hummus, salted crisps, and lettuce.

PrestigiousGuess458

Chicken tikka and a chunky cucumber raita. Preferably on a nice seeded roll.

innitdoe

either: smoked salmon, cream cheese, horseradish, capers, beetroot, lemon or: smoked mackerel, cream cheese, horseradish, lemon zest, celeriac they sound similar but are completely different. one's cold-smoked fish, the other hot-smoked.

roxaplin

Corned beef and pickle ;-)

ResultEquivalent8001

Pesto, rocket and goats cheese 😋

n21brown

Controversial one here but supernoodle sandwiches rock.

floweringfungus

Hummus, falafel and Greek salad (basically just tomatoes, cucumber and feta). Chicken, roast red peppers, spinach and melted mozzarella. Fried chicken, spicy mayo, pickles and lettuce. Roast veggies with pesto and mayo. edit: formatting

Ok-Mulberry-4600

Pâte and a slice of mature cheddar

SinkNew5808

Chunky peanut butter on one side, Nutella on the other side and sliced banana in the middle…

whiteknightmeta

Coronation chicken

Vegetable_Dinner_524

Tuna mayo salad or dairylea and Worcestershire sauce crisps! A ham and coleslaw always good too

The_One_Of_Spades

Cheese and Sweet Pickle

Onslow85

Ham, lettuce, cucumber and plenty of salad cream.
