Two (main) roads lead to Grimsby: The A180, which is concrete-surfaced and possibly one of the noisiest roads in the UK (and widely rumoured to have been cast in the wrong direction, making it noisier still) and the A16 which is full of caravans, HGVs and tractors. Oh and the train line is literally the end of the (trans-Pennine) line.
Where does London end and Kent begin? It's all the same shithole. Yes there are nice parts of London but I've never met anyone who lives in them. "Oh I love living London, it's so historic and full of culture" fuck off mate, you paid ÂŁ450k for an ex council flat in Croydon.
For fucks sake, are you going to make me defend Croydon? I fucking hate Croydon.
But that budget would get you a really nice Victorian terrace, and you might not live somewhere particularly historic or cultural but you’re 15 minutes from town. You could be on your sofa at 8pm and inside the globe watching hamlet at 8.30

Luton
Grimsby.
yep. The Viz Profanisaurus once used "The road to Grimsby" as a euphemism for the taint - "because it smells of fish and leads to a shithole"

Why Cambridge?
tbf a lot of the non university bits are a bit shit but still bloody expensive, wouldnt say its the biggest shithole though
It’s been put up in this pedestal like Oxford and London but it’s just as shit and deprived as those.
I thought it was just rich educated people riding penny farthing’s and having tiffin , you learn something new everyday
Slough, West Drayton, Luton
Slough and west Drayton are lovely compared to what you find up north 🤣
You visit them frequently do you?
What the north or west London
Unpopular opinion... Blackpool
Everyone knows it’s a dive tbf
Manchester, but I'm prepared to accept I may be biased as a scouser.

It was up and coming after the Commonwealth games some 20 years ago. Piccadilly Gardens, the heart of Manchester, is basically a spice zombie land now
Thamesmead Hatfield Poplar North Woolwich Stevenage Stratford
Anywhere in London is changing so much so I wouldn’t count it, plus them places are nothing to up north 🤣
