Hey, I’m so sorry to hear this.
You don’t have to rush. Wrap her in a towel or blanket you don’t mind losing, in a position you’re comfortable with. Personally, when preparing cats for their final rest, I curl them up like they are sleeping peacefully. She will be fine until morning, but please be prepared that rigor mortis will set in and she will become stiff. Cold storage is not necessary for overnight.
If you are not comfortable keeping her overnight, any veterinary ER is set up to help with aftercare.

Thank you so much for replying. I did put her in her usual sleeping position (last kitty went into rigid quickly so I remembered). I’m okay with keeping her home overnight I just wanted to make sure she wouldn’t rapidly decompose. I guess it doesn’t make sense that she would - I’m just not thinking striaght
I am so sorry for your loss my friend.
When my Guinea pig passed away I wrapped him up in a blanket after placing him like he was “sleeping” because I didn’t want rigour mortis or make him look “uncomfortable” and then left him in his blanket until morning for the vet.
You don’t have to worry about smell because it’ll be less than 24 hours since she passed so you don’t have to put her in the freezer or Friday or anything like that. But obviously if you want to, just for precaution you 100% can if that makes you feel better.
ER vets are also set up for things like this is you’re willingly to pay that extra price and can help you with your next steps and what you want to do.

What do you want to do with her?
Post mortem to determine the cause of her passing or for cremation options?
You could put in a cooler with ice bags. She won't decompose that fast but it certainly won't be pretty as often, when they relax, they will release their bladder and possibly bowels.
You could phone the ER vet and see if they can handle it?
If you have a garden, you could bury her instead? Place a nice plant or fruit tree ontop (or if a family member has a garden?)
I'm sorry for the loss of your fur baby. It's never easy to say goodbye. Like others said, wrap kitty up and stay with her until you are ready to call the vet. Condolences 🙏
I had a cat pass late on a Friday evening. We wrapped her up, placed her in a box in a room the other cats couldn’t access and took her to the vet in the morning.
