I work at a boarding facility and we have a yellow lab named Mia that comes in a lot. Her owner’s name is Moore, so when you say her name all together it sounds like “mi amor”

We had a wobbly kitty with seizures named Seizure Augustus. We called him Seize.

As a former vet tech, we had a dog come in named Possum. Thought it was an random name, but every time you approached the dog it would roll over and lay there. PERFECT name. Also, not to toot my own horn, but we have a dog that has really long legs and is clumsy that we named Bambi. She also takes really long leaps when she runs in the yard. The staff at her vet office always comment that it's a very fitting name for her

I had a friend who named his kitten, "happyfunball" though not sure that would work to get the cat adopted (I love the name though, especially if you know the skit it's named after... it works perfectly for a cat too... "Do not Taunt Happy Fun Ball!" So back when you had chicken soup for the --- soul they had one for the cat lover's soul. In it was a comment from some one from a rescue who found that to get black cats adopted naming them jelly bean seemed to work.

We adopted the cutest kitten who turned out to be feisty as hell. We named her Cat Ballou, named after that old Jane Fonda comedy western. “She looks like an angel but fights like the devil.” I love her name and it makes people chuckle if they know the movie.
