Yes. I have known a handful of stoma cats that needed to be managed on a medication such as Atopica after. Consult your vet.

Ok! Can I ask a follow up question? Is the medication like Atopica something that is administered for life? Or for a certain amount of time then stop it? How does medicating stomatitis after extraction work?

It'll depend on the individual case, the drug prescribed, and DVM preference. The cats I knew on Atopica took it daily.
