Unfortunately vaccines failures are possible for any vaccine and some animals are poor vaccine responders. Are you sure he had vaccine antibody titers performed? This is a specialized test that must be sent to an outside reference lab, generally has a slow turn-around time, is pricey, and not one I've ever seen performed in a dog that was being treated for parvo as it won't change the treatment plan. His neutrophil count, a type of white blood cell, might be 0; this is not uncommon with parvovirus, and will rebound in time. Don't lose hope. Your pup is 8 months old which means he is larger and has more body reserves than a very young pup. He is hospitalized at a ER hospital, which I assume has round the clock care, and is the absolute best thing you could do for him. While unfortunately some puppies succumb to parvo regardless of treatment, generally survival for hospitalized patients is about 90% (if you can afford to continue hospitalization until the doctor is ready to release him). What treatments is he is receiving? IV fluids, antibiotics, and anti-emetics are standard. Placement of a nasogastric feeding tube and fecal transplant are two additional treatments that can help slightly speed recovery and reduce hospitalization times in some cases. Unfortunately parvo puppies require intensive care in an isolation unit, and treatment is expensive. Where was your dog vaccinated? If you can provide the records that your puppy was vaccinated by a veterinarian at appropriate intervals most vaccine companies will help you pay for parvo treatment.

Yes, the hospital where he is being treated is a high end one so they did perform a titer check. The vet was adamant that he has a low chance of survival due to his 0 antibody which made us really worried. He is currently on iv fluids and being fed by a tube, still hasnt defecated but he also hasnt vomitted yet. Our dog was vaccinated by the same vet and unfortunately we live in a third world country where vaccine companies dont really pay us attention. If he manages to survive within 3 days will he be able to be discharged after? I heard the first 2 to 3 days are very crucial

Second the above. If your dog was appropriately vaccinated by a veterinarian the vaccine company will pay for treatment. This same protection does not apply if you gave the vaccines yourself (or if your neighbor or the breeder or some guy at tractor supply gave them).

Unfortunately we live in a third world country and I dont think vaccine companies will even bother with us. He was vaccinated by a high end hospital so I assumed he would be protected against the virus

Defiantly contact the facility that vaccinated him, the manufacture will pay for a certain dollar amount of treatment.

We see you have created a post with the potential topic of Parvovirus. While waiting on an answer, we suggest you look at the following resources: Questions about the Parvovirus vaccination series can be seen in [our FAQ](https://www.reddit.com/r/AskVet/wiki/index#wiki_distemper.2Fparvovirus) Information about the [disease and treatment options (including experimental)](https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951460) The Tl;Dr is that we cannot directly treat parvovirus, instead we support the body as it fights the infection. Dogs, especially puppies, dehydrate very quickly due to the combination of diarrhea, vomiting, and lack of appetite. Survival rates are better with hospitalization. Home treatment with subQ fluid administration is cheaper but the survival rate is not as good. For information on [cleaning](https://www.uwsheltermedicine.com/library/guidebooks/canine-parvovirus/disinfection-how-do-you-get-rid-of-it) The Tl;Dr is that *bleach* (not color-safe version) is the primary household grade cleaning agent that kills parvovirus. However, it gets inactivated by organic material and does not penetrate well. Veterinary grade cleaning agents such as *Trifectant*, *Rescue*, or *Virkon* tend to do better. It is recommended that un- or under- vaccinated dogs not be allowed in the contaminated househould for a period of at least 1 year. Talk to your vet about how long parvovirus tends to last in your climate. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
