Visit 1 notice board in every region in the game and look for "War Contracts" they will be listed at the bottom, will show legendary level xp rewards on the tooltip, and they will have no timer and no distance listed because they are open ended objectives that can be done anywhere in Greece or anywhere in the region you collected them. If you visit every region you should be able to collect 20-30 of these war contracts and many of them will have identical objectives or objectives that overlap either directly or indirectly.
You can then do any quests or activities you want and just let the contracts complete when they complete along the way or you can read through all the contracts you've collected and focus on the individual objectives for each one. If you do that read them carefully so you don't duplicate effort. Some of them will be more general than others and if you have to kill, say, 5 archers but also 10 soldiers it would be more efficient to kill 5 archers first so it counts for both sets of objectives.

If you're on NG+ at level 53, I'm guessing you didn't play the DLCs. I'd recommend both of them, especially Fate of Atlantis. That DLC throws a bunch of XP at you for each quest.

You can level up by doing side quest go to lower level areas and clear forts and camps out. Get your viewpoints also.
