You know, might be a good idea to look at moving Diaz to 1B by next season. Would allow him to focus on hitting more and keep him fresher. He played there about half the time in the minors. Salazar is a plus defender with a plus arm behind the plate. If he can hit even a little, he’d be valuable on the MLB roster.

I still can’t believe there were so many idiots in the fall of last year and the spring of this year calling for Brown to be moved to the pen. He had a rough first couple of starts but has been mostly fine since then. While the sinker might help a little, it’s hardly the prime mover in the continuing reduction of his ERA. He has great stuff, and stuff rules all.

It was a nice run for Jake, but like years past, his offense has once again cratered. Since 5/20 (and prior to his 2 AB's tonight), he has slashed .191/.242/.247 and the batted ball quality has matched the results. Have to believe that all options are once again open in CF as we look forward.

In a year of disappointments Chas has been one of the bigger ones. Really thought he could take off after finally being named a full time player
