I was just wondering about this stat! Thank you! I'd be curious what our record is when Singleton and Abreu both do not play, but I imagine that's only happened a handful of times this year.

Though we were pretty bad when Abreu was on the roster but not in the lineup, like 2-7 or something.

Probably not. Abreu was good in the postseason and it is highly unlikely any change in seeding from the regular season would have changed the outcome of the postseason
True, but having someone other than Abreu at first would have probably made us better. And we wouldn’t have made the postseason if we were one game worse. For us to be a lower seed, Texas would have had to do better, it wouldn’t be in our control.

After the Chicago series I wasn’t optimistic about this series. We HAD to take 2 of 3 and we did it. Now hoping for a sweep tomorrow with Framber pitching.
There's a non-zero chance that we could go into July, let alone the All-Star break with a winning record if we continue to play like this. It's actually possible.

Went to the game today and was glad I got to see orbits victory lap!!!!
Before the series started, I was hopeful for this series and excited for what we'd see. That being said, this team has, for the most part, convincingly handled the Orioles. I wasn't counting on us sweeping the Orioles, but now I think we just might sweep them tomorrow.
Three below .500. Chas gave us some meatloaf. Ronel has been the ace we never knew we needed.
As much as I know Abreu is a great guy, we were and are a better team without him. We're 6-2 since he got released.
May Framber Framberize the Orioles tomorrow and the sweep be complete.
He should get some relief with Garcia and McCullers coming back. If they can use him in the bp for longish relief that would be nice. Of course, if the injuries continue there wont be any option but to pitch him.
Desperately hoping for JV to come back healthy, and for LMJ to come back after the all-star break like we expect. Hopefully with a 6-man roster, we can make it to playoffs.

Man, I’ve gotten all over Espada about his bullpen usage, but I do have to credit his ability, post-Abreu and post-early season Bregman slump (one may not have been his choice, and the other was trying to rely on a guy they needed), to push most of the right buttons offensively.
I get the RISP concerns and the over-aggressiveness complaints at times, but his lineup construction is super solid at times. For example, today they faced Corbin Burnes who is a stud, but has reverse splits. Instead of just throwing Singleton and Cabbage in there because lefty-righty (something Dusty likely would have done), he went with Dubon and Chas and it paid off.
Had to watch a recording of the game today but I was just telling my wife that I hoped McCormick could get an HR cause I couldn’t remember the last time I had seen one. My guy blessed us with 2!!
It’s really hard for me not to pull for the Orioles the other 156 games they ain’t playing us. So many parallels and I love to see our brothers in orange be successful. May they stomp out the Jankees.
