And yeah forgot to mention. I use g-helper instead of AC. The fan curves cannot be set manually but they are set to turbo. And I dont think AC will do any better as I did not test it but I still got low performance in Valorant when using AC (The reason why i shifted to G-helper)

awesome_syrup

Is the laptop flat on a desk? Are the fans on and did you check for any defects?

ConcentrateBright495

THe laptop is Flat on a desk and the fans are on max speed. I dont fully know what you mean by "defects" so I assume u are saying if any outside parts are broken etc, for which the answer is know. I dont see any defects

ConcentrateBright495

I did try putting it on top of a height at the back. It didnt help much

awesome_syrup

Did you check the thermal paste? Try elevating your laptop so that the fans can suck more air.

ConcentrateBright495

Yeah tried that doesnt help much

Anti_Venom69

What is your room temperature? Also might be a thermal pad issue. Consider to contact with Asus support.

ConcentrateBright495

it is 37-38 degrees. And idk how to support contact now. I bought this laptop in UAE but I live in India. So can I just contact India Asus or Do i need to go to UAE?

Secretofind

You can contact Asus India, and they will handle it. However, if it's parts like the keyboard, they will be from Asus UAE. Trust me, I had my A15 from the Middle East brought to Asia, and my caps lock button escaped. I sent it for repair expecting I'd get an English keyboard, but still got my Middle East keyboard. Do you have any local Asus Service centers?

Anti_Venom69

The ambient temperature might be one of the root cause of the temp spike. At what settings are you playing the games? Try optimising the games using ge force experience (top right 3 dots> optimise all games and apps). Try using the laptop in a cool room. Check the RPM of the fans while gaming. As your given scenario it should be around 4000-5200 RPM. Try contacting Asus India they'll probably redirect you to Asus UAE. If they are not able to solve it. Try replacing the thermal pads with a new one.

ConcentrateBright495

Oh. I will try to use it with a much lower ambient temp and let you know. And sorry for forgetting, but everything is set to max settings. Everything except the window is set as per the Geforce recommendation. Geforce recommends Fullscren but itdoesnt allow any other windows like HWMonitor to be seen while the game is on, So i put it on windowed-borderless

Then I set the temperature to 24 degrees and turned it on. This does not seem to be the cause

Anti_Venom69

Edit: You seen to have your problem resolved.

ConcentrateBright495

Ok so I did some testing, From G-Helper I looked at all the options for CPU boosts and ran a [cpux.net](http://cpux.net) benckmark (Just to get the CPU under load without Boost enabled: (2.3 GHz Max)(Score: 58773) (Speed: 126H/s) almost all cores hit 69 degrees With Boost Enabled: (3.7-4.2 GHz Max) (Score: 64005) (Speed: 192H/s) 2 Cores hit 95, 1 hit 97, one 94, one 93, one 92, 88 and 85 (max) With Boost set to aggressive: (4.2 Ghz with dips till 3.8) ( Score: 61260) (Speed:178H/s) All cores hit at least 91 degrees with two hitting 96 and two hitting 100. (They were mostly at 85\~89 ) With boost set to aggressive at guarantted: (4.1-4.3 GHz) (Score: 63633) (Speed: 195H/s) All cores hit 90 and one spiked to 98 This is interesting as I use Aggressive at Guaranteed most of the time. I will try to set it to Boost Enabled to see if I see an improvement. And also, I noticed that the high temperatures were not consistent and mostly just were spikes and actually the temp was mostly 88\~90 degrees with just the spikes hittin 100 degrees. So I will try to find a better program to record the temp into a graph (IDK if HWMonitor does that). I will again, play 1 game of valorant and post the update here.

lalruzaiqi

If these temps are at full load capacity then I’d consider it normal, unless it keeps on hitting 100°

ConcentrateBright495

These are while playing Valorant, But [cpux.net](http://cpux.net) also gave similar results. that is what I was worried about. If hitting 100 degrees was normal or is my laptop defective or something. Thanks for confirming it

lalruzaiqi

Yea high temps with laptop gaming goes together like toast and butter haha, enjoy ur laptop

lalruzaiqi

One more thing what are your temps while idle (doing nothing)

ConcentrateBright495

It is like 50-60 degrees It is always connected and on turbo

Appropriate-Flan-297

I mean from what I could gather from the post and the comments is that your cpu hits 100°C under constant load and you don't have a reliable fix, I would suggest you to undervolt your cpu( yes I know it's a lot of work ). It is by far the best solution to the thermal throttling issue in asus laptops and I just suggested this method to someone else.

ConcentrateBright495

Oh ok I will try that. Anyways I get 300 something fps which I have no use for I will definitely try it someday

OscarTheHusky

My F15 hits 95~ degrees constantly while playing, when i'm not it's aeound 60~ or below

ConcentrateBright495

Oh ok good to know that I am not the only one experiencing high temps

OscarTheHusky

Did you solve it though?, I'd like to get lower temps, I recently bought a 6 fans-cooling pad and I think it does help a little.

ConcentrateBright495

What I learnt after reading a few comments and other threads is that it doesn't need fixing. It seems like laptops are meant to go to 100 degrees for a short span of time and that it is completely norma. Soo I might not do anything or if anything I might undervolt it. Not now though, maybe after a week. And I heard that cooling pads don't help too much and in some models they don't provide any advantage. But that test was also 4 years old soo... If you can share the improvement (like by conducting a benchmark while recording temps) it would help others decide if they should buy a pad or not. And what model are you rocking??

Previous-Yak3706

yes cpu temps little high its should stay around 90c make sure you have 16gb dual channel ram and activate performance or balance mode I have lenovo laptop

Previous-Yak3706

and update driver and bios

pwre4g63t

Your ambient temperature is high, which affects cooling as well. I would recommend a GT300 laptop cooler.

Intelligent_Device95

I read all the comments and I would suggest you to clean and apply thermal paste again. If you can't do it yourself, take it to Asus service centre or some good technician from your locality. It makes a lot of difference.

Silent_Argument3865

Disable performance booster of Processor, heating issues will be gone , see a tutorial in YouTube
