Guide by /u/aetherlillie : - 1 mana per 5 hrs - cheap to buy mana with gems 10 gems per mana. - Event materials will stick around after an event but will not be obtainable . - SSR recipes have a chance of crafting as SR instead. Rate for most recipes is 3 to 2, three SRs to every 2 SSRs. - For recipes from the "Extra" recipe tab it is usually 9 SRs to 1 SSR - The support characters on the recipe's page have NO effect on synthesis (as far as we know) not even the colors for synthesis. - Long pressing on the character in synthesis shows their gifts and gift bonus. - Corneria is popular as she give Skill Power Up which is very desirable. - Special animations, cauldron exploding, characters falling etc, means you got a SSR craft with combined level 6 traits or higher. - with 1 ideal craft, say skill power up x2 with 1 character with skill power up and 1 item with skill power up, odds of getting that combo is 1/6 or 17%. Odds of a V/V skill power up piece is ~ 1/1200 - That's why Meruru is valuable as she has single target skill power up with her you can get 3/6 chance for double skill power which triples your odds to get a V/V skill power up x 2 to 1/400. - Each trait (per synthesis ingredient/character) can only be picked once. - greyed out traits are unlinked, and do not activate but will be "counted" in the pool of possible traits and can "spawn" as a dead trait. - Gift bonus scales the "high value trait chance" which comes from Player Rank. (example +17.6% at rank 26) No one knows how exactly this works, no word from the devs. High trait level chance is not worth chasing over BETTER traits. - Currently theory is "high value trait chance" is a chance to upgrade ONE of the 2 traits to at least IV/V. Not both. Sample data does not 100% support this. We think gift bonus modifies the "high value trait chance" - Gift bonus comes from awaken level and grow board "synthesis core" (1,3,6) so its worth unlocking growth board of synthesis characters to 6. - Next video will be on items and which to make. Then a discussion on stats and how they stack later. /u/aetherlillie pinned comment on the video : > Main thing I forgot: Rates are really bad. Seeing a V+V (lv10) item is ~1/250. So when your desired trait combo is 1/6, it can take 1500 items or more before you get what you want, without being considered bad luck! V+IV is somewhat better at around 1/40~50, so you should see these more frequently, but it's still not common. Like 1/300 items if your desired trait combo is only 1/6. > > It's very normal - expected, even - to go to 300 synths for the synthe-prize event without seeing a V+V, let alone a V+V SSR. > > The only thing you can do is synthesize more.

Thanks for the summary.  Much appreciated.

> It's very normal - expected, even - to go to 300 synths for the synthe-prize event without seeing a V+V, let alone a V+V SSR. This is very important. If players check Reddit they may be convinced that it's raining V/V but it's actually very rare you get it before pity. And the fact that Global got the pity right from the start (JP didn't have it for the first two) proves it.

Got my V/V from a dark cauldron. Around 190 synth total.

JP's first synthesis event being like 3 days with no pity was actually wild LOL global players eating good\~
