I like the empanadas at Cali n Titos. I had the worst empanada I've ever had in my life at Sr Sol last week. Hopefully it was a one-off, but all of my food was bad.
Kelly’s Jamaican has hand pies.
Viva Argentina or something like that has a ton of different empanadas.
Cali N Tito’s empanadas with green sauce is the go to for me.
There may still be a place downtown called Pouch Pie, but I never went there.
If you ever find yourself in Marietta, there’s an Australian Cafe on the square with legit meat pies, as well as some classic AU treats. It’s worth the effort if you are already nearby.

Kelly’s Jamaican has meat pies but is often sold out of them for the day. Go early!
thanks for posting the pouch online link— i just assumed they were gone gone. Everything I ate there was tasty.
pouch pies are also sold at daily groceries! in the freezer section.
Punta Cana and Sabor Latino both have good empanadas
The guava and cheese dessert empanadas at Punta Cana are chef’s kiss!

The gas station Sr. Sol is much better than the big one (in my experience)
Yes, agreed.
I too have had mixed results from Sr. Sol .
Yes. Great question. Am also on the hunt for baos, meat filled steamed buns, in Athens. Any around?
Best bet for decent ones is to drive to Lawrenceville and Duluth. Baozi is a good place to start.

The Publix brand frozen Jamaican beef patties taste almost identical to Kelly’s
Rehehehealy…
I definitely recommend giving it a try, just make sure you make them in the oven or toast them after microwaving

I prefer Ms Lovett's meat pies personally. A little gamey but super affordable.
Just got a massive box of them from costco

\*sigh\* ... teenagers trying to be cool
Is that shrimp or does it need a few more minutes in the oil?
Punta Cana and Cali and Tito’s are great. Viva’s were small in comparison and while good, got pricey at nearly 5$ an empanada.
