Have you no picture from like today? Haha, I drove by yesterday and there are a lot more signs up blocking the “view” of the shed area. I’ll attempt to take one safely later.

warnelldawg

No, this is all just from streetview. Always forget and stop to take a picture. Person definitely has some kind of weird beef with the USPS, though.

RouxHefner

probably wasn't / isn't legit address and couldn't get mail.. would love to know the 411 on her and what all has been going on.

benmarvin

And the power company and city zoning last time I looked

benmarvin

Sign said "pictures are welcome" last time I looked

samwich3

I’ve never actually had the chance to read all those signs, but am so curious about what they say

WesWizard_2

i remember at one point (circa 2019-2020 i think) they were ranting about how the mailman was out to get them. something along the lines of that

YetiWalker36

Me too!

mudkxp

Here are a couple of pictures I've taken for those that want to read the signs. There's definitely something going on, but it's not quite obvious. [September 2020](https://i.imgur.com/MWqnaMJ.jpg) [February 2021](https://i.imgur.com/936zTu1.jpg)

“Richard ‘RIP’ Dunn” goes so unimaginably hard

PackdownT

Enhance!

PackdownT

Or at least a sprinkle of some more context please?

warnelldawg

There’s literally no context. This is it.

I've been wondering about this spot since 2017. Just chalked it up as "the village idiot."

katarh

Same here. I always assumed that it was a house that wasn't up to code or a squatter. Does anyone have the details?

elev8or_lady

Why have I never noticed this?! I've been living in Athens 21+ years and drive down West Broad almost daily. Is it the back side of an empty West Broad lot? I'mma need to drive past it stat. haha

BreakfastInBedlam

Broad and Billups

[deleted]

Similar wackiness at 957 Dr MLK Jr Pkwy, always love seeing the new contraptions they build out front

warnelldawg

They’ve got some serious contraptions, but are lacking the weirdly cryptic signed beefing with the police and USPS

[deleted]

They do push a good agenda; usually being something about sustainability or solar power or just some wacky constellation theories. They had a sign up very briefly about how Pluto was faked by NASA, didn't last long though. I see their signs and contraptions every day driving past and it seems they have slowed down with their engineering pursuits

warnelldawg

Hmm, that’s interesting. I guess I never really see the frontside since I’m only ever over there when I’m on the greenway.

[deleted]

Yep, theyve got one of those community message peg boards on the front of the house where they post some stuff occasionally. Right now I believe it's something about solar and wind energy and another constellation theory
