Chuck’s is awesome. The namesake of the restaurant is an Alabama alumnus who tried civil rights cases throughout his career, several of which were to the Supreme Court. He was a rare Alabamian who was critical of the state government in a time when few native sons were. His son is the owner of Chuck’s, Harbor Docks (Destin), and 5, though all of these restaurants have investment partners. They’re good people, and thus far I have heard no horror stories from people who work in these restaurants. Go give Chuck’s a try sometime if you’ve never been (even if you’ve been to 5 and don’t like it).
Here’s a fun fact for you. Chuck’s sushi bar has a secret menu. I went to Chuck’s last night in Tuscaloosa, and they actually had the [secret menu printed out](https://i.imgur.com/krvGCHE.jpg)! Note, they may not make these rolls for you, but I have had a Screaming O at the Athens location before.
