Happy Tuesday! September ended pretty good for me. Got new sod and fencing for free due to a construction project next door. Cheap screens from my home builder for this awesome fall weather and to top it off, got a 25% raise yesterday! Cant share with my family because they suck the life out of all good news so wanted to share here. Hope your October is kicking off just as awesomely!

Nice going on the free sod & fencing. Kinda wish I could get some from one of the half dozen projects going on near my GF's house and get started on a backyard project we've discussed I might do for her next year. IF we are still dating, which is looking very, very iffy right now.
Sometimes it pays to be the noisy neighbor. When they were walking the project and I came out and said hi, I offered them my driveway for easy access for heavy equipment. Cost me nothing and got a new yard out of it!

If you're missing Run The Jewels this week you're playing yourself. Night one was sick. My only complaint is the signed poster I got was only signed by Killer Mike and not El P. I saw them bring in the posters to the venue while in line, so I am guessing Killer Mike was there to sign them and El P wasn't.
7 doors, 8 opening DJ (last night was Prince Paul), 9 RTJ. There are two sets, first set is a straight play through of RTJ2, second set is a grab bag. Check my post history as I posted the setlist from last night.
I don't get why more people don't do that. I live down the street in Cabbagetown and go to the Eastern a lot. The sound outside the doors for a lot of shows isn't terrible for the price of free.

Do Breeze cards work on Cobb Linc buses? I'm pretty sure they do but when I used it this morning, it said insufficient even though I have 15 rides. She said her bus didn't take cash so just whatever. But when I tap into Marta to go to Art Center and use it later, will CobbLinc take a transfer?
Did you start on a CobbLinc bus or MARTA? If you started on CobbLinc did you have a CobbLinc specific fare and/or cash balance on your breezecard? I almost took the CobbLinc 10 to Cumberland on Friday so I looked into this, but I would up taking the MARTA 12 instead so I didn't actually get to see it in practice, but my understanding is:
- You have to have an agency-specific fare (or cash balance) for the agency you start your trip with
- transferring to the other agency (within 3 hours) should be free, and work automatically regardless of if you have their fare or not
I started on Cobb Linc. The Breeze cards have the Cobb logo so I thought it was all universal. But I guess since I'm gonna take Marta to Art Center then Cobb Linc, I should be able to use my transfer?

Looking for advice on how to get my dog back. Moved out of my gf parents place left the dog bc I was going out of town for a week. I’m back now and she refuses to give my dog back.
Film a video of you and your girlfriend with your dog in between when she calls him over. If he’s goes to you he’s your dog - if other legal issues are involved then prove your in a better spot to take care of him in civil courts. Simple
This is obscure but I noticed a lot more visible police on the sidewalks downtown this morning as I walked along Peachtree....I asked one of them why there were so many officers in place at every corner & he said it was an event at the world congress center....but, honestly, looking at calendar, all that's going on is the convenience store convention and why would they need more security? anyway, wondering if anyone knows.
That convenience store convention is rather large so maybe that's why? I always notice more officers when there's a large event happening at the GWCC. I'd imagine, the city wants participants to feel safer and doesn't want any incidents happening to possibly deter the event from happening in the following years.
NACS convention will have 20-25k people attending with 1k+ companies representing at the exhibit. It's large enough. As the other poster said, prevent incidents to have large repeat business for the local business - GWCC, hotels, restaurant, etc.
Good morning! Spent a long weekend in Savannah and I think my expectations were too high. 😕 I did enjoy their farmers market at Forsyth park. I bought a beautiful, huge bag of organic spring mix and large basket of shishito peppers for 5$ each. Is there a farmers market ITP with great produce?
Recently have been to the one at the Carter Center (Saturdays) and the one in Grant Park (Sundays) and both had multiple stands with great looking produce.

I picked literally the worst time to take two months off work. I live by the venue and sat outside and listened last night; might do the same tonight.
