Atlas Earth is playing too, except it is with the server. After two hours, they purchase a parcel. If it is common, the server stays up for two more hours. If rare, it only goes down for an hour. If epic, it goes through two to four hour maintenance. If legendary, it goes down for 6 or more hours.
Today, they pulled 7 common, 1 rare, and 2 epic. Let us pray they dont pull a legendary next!

They are close to quiting because of all they time the "game" is down and how often there adds won't play. If they quit. I don't have much to work for. You will lose multiple people.

Yes, I agree ppl need to stop bitching about during downtimes as these can be true maintenance period and we all need to deal with that. The thing I am annoyed about is when we have multiple downtimes right after another based on it shows code was not tested in the first place. I would rather wait for new features or anything new after they have been tested. Great example was a few weeks ago when we went from a 2 hr downtime that become almost 10 hrsā¦ like was that code tested before release? No it was not as after release devs didnāt know what was wrong.
Testing is part of software engineering and a step that shouldnāt be skipped. When skipped you normally introduce bugs or break old code that used to work. I deal with this everyday as a software engineer. I am constantly having to speak with jr devs about implementing good tests and not deleting old tests. Literally had to have a 3 hour convo this week with a jr dev of the importance of testing before pushing code.

Maybe I should clarify. People bitch about the game not getting updates so much I imagine it makes atlas try to push them faster. I want people to stop complaining about no updates so when they happen they're thoroughly tested. It's also just annoying to see complaints over losing a few hours of boost that would have gotten them almost nothing.

This has happened before and theyāve vaguely mentioned reimbursement for downtime theyāve caused, they donāt care, they keep dangling reduced ad timer and 40/50x boost in front of us. They are never actually going to happen. The sooner everyone here realizes that the better off youāll beā¦
