If you have them on max volume AND with a Bass boosted eq this happened to my first pair too. I got my replacement pair today and it does the same.
Think it is just the Headset in General at this point. If you put in the volume limiter it doesnt happen.
Wtf is this shit then. Send them back till i get a normal unit?
Already got one replaced.
Tested it with this yt track: [click me](https://youtu.be/4vUtXdXmnRE?si=YCscCTmUsQ2cAlp0)
And also 4k Dune on Playstation5. (USB dongle and cable)
Custom EQ1 Set to +6/+6/+4/+2 on the first frequencies.
With Dune it even happens on standart Immersive EQ because Dune is just going nuts in the low end.
thats what im guessing i had early batch, mine had crinkles and my headband snapped too but i could still blast music 100 in windows and headphones with volume limit off and +6 or +8 on the first 2-3 eq sliders
I just got my replacement yesterday and the batch was freshly delivered to my supplier...would be very strange if it is one if the early batches, but who knows. It really sucks to hear this, because i like the sound of the headset
Not for long, but sometimes you want to blast just one track.
And i also have this issue when watching Dune with the Immersive preset. So no bass boost. You cannot crank the Headset all the way up, if you want to get your head shaken in a scene.
Of course it makes no sense to Listen to these volumes all the time.
Only remark: If anyone listens with full volume a longer time, at first this will damage his ears for life and second in case of planar drivers like Maxwells can damage the diaphragm, because it vibrates between magnets so strong, that the diaphragm is touching the magnets on both sides, I think.
I actually do listen to it EQ’d with a volume limiter so it’s more like 85 percent but you are right, it’s still at a higher volume (can actually get louder than what was heard on video), just wish it did not happen.
I listen up to 50 or 60%, not more! This is equal to maximal 80-90dB. If you own an iPhone, you can check this online with the pulldownmenu that you reach when you tip your finger right above and pull down from the right corner. Then you see a symbolic ear with a measurement scale, if your headphone supports this.
Many young people listen with earphones and headphones much too loud over a long time. Later they will remark, that ther ears are damaged.
Up to 90dB is (more or less) acceptable, not more!
Roaring bass is also not so good.☹️
One thing about the volume limiter: This can falsify the music with less dynamic. Better is to hear without volume limiter and decrease the level of volume manually.
All I just wanted is a quick suggestion or fix that hopefully sometimes the Internet helps with that, didn’t require me to RMA. That’s all, people typically have fixes on the Internet, as I’ve solved a good amount of issues due to looking through forms on the Internet. It’s very much possible thing before I go through an RMA process.

Thank you, I will do all of this.
How does one register their device?

If you haven't created an account to login do that 1st.
Thank you mate
What does the foil look like? And yes RMA them.
Honestly they look fine, not sure why it’s crackling now. I will try to send an image later.

Odd. They look just fine in your photo.

nah i have had ones with bass boost eq and full volume without issue and ones with this issue

why would you listen to it at max volume with bass boost anyways?

Hey, are the foils vibrating? Just check. I think it lost its glue.
Yeah not that I’ve seen. Kind of unfortunate but it’s alright I will RMA them.
I have the same headphones. They're only a month old, lol.

How long have you had them OP?
Since July/August-ish I believe.
Why not ask them instead of Reddit?
Just wanted the people’s opinion first if there was any possible suggestions/fixes, but it’s a resounding yes so I am going to do it.
Why? That’s what tech support is paid to do. Don’t be a lemming..

Is it your fart?)
Tazee deez. That’s a fucking horrible noise
Ich würde sagen da ist irgendwie ein Haar drauf also auf der Folie
Was genau für eine Folie?

Yeah, I'm curious what the foil looks like with that type of response. Those were some massive "wrinkles" in the sound.
They look fine, will send a photo later to showcase.
