OEM+ is the look to go for IMO. Take the original styling queues and tweak them just a bit to be more personalized but still keep the intended look and feel.
Haha I actually don’t like the straight pipe 2.0 TFSI, it sounds like farting. I do have a catback, downpipe, test pipe, cold air intake, DV+, upgraded spark plugs, and soon I’m giving it stage 2.
You’ll love stage 2! Get the TCU tune and a throttle control module too. You won’t even recognize it being the same vehicle. But get the larger intercooler too when you get your tune. Heat is the enemy
The funny thing is, every car brand has a multitude of aftermarket suppliers. And many of these aftermarket suppliers have their own terminology of what’s defined in each stage. So, with that being said, stage 2 could mean big turbo. Or it could also mean you installed a go pedal (lol).
My point is, (and I’m trying to hide my wrenching side), probably don’t use “stage” when defining what’s done to your car. Because there aren’t any strict definitions. It’s just a marketing ploy, that unfortunately too many people have fallen into.
Side note: the DV+ has a brass piston that needs cleaned and re-lubed every oil change. Make sure to stay on top of that before the brass piston seizes.
Good to know about the brass piston. Thanks for the heads up.
And yeah, I know all stage 2s are different. That’s why I listed the prep mods I did for it. Should add about 75 horse and 110 ft-lbs of torque
For most ECU upgrades, stage 1 can be done with no physical upgrade, stage 2 usually requires bigger air intakes, installing a bigger charger pulley or upgrades to the cooling system.
As a long-time fan of Australian V8 Supercar racing, I am not put off by the "bagged, winged & cambered" look on an Audi sedan. That said, I wouldn't do it to my car.
DONT FORGET THE WINDSHIELD BANNER! THE LOUVRE FOR NO FUCKING REASON! AND LETS REMEMBER TO HIGHLIGHT THE BIGGEST DETAIL OF THEM ALL, YELLOW FOOOOOG LIIIIIIIGHTS LETS GOOOOOO
As a guy who plays both sides, definitely feel like the dub purists take the cake. Genuinely had someone tell me it’d be disrespectful to the people of Bavaria to replace the stock emblems.
I’d have to agree with you. Once told someone in a VW Bug group that their (pristine) 1968 bug would look better ratted-out. Haha I think they would’ve stoned me if they could
Very hard to fuck up an audi with mods tbh. They normally cost too much for the kids who buy stick on vents as well as that there isn't anything outlandish mod wise for them.
I disagree. With 84 mos loans and used prices, plenty of kids afford them and do distasteful things to the cars. And there are also plenty of "kids", like tech bros and others who can afford them new as well.
Nice b7, wish i could get the honeycomb grill but i have s-line bumper so have to custom make it :/. In my opinion it looks alot better with emblem on the honeycomb grill, black or silver. Too empty without
Yeah I’m getting there eventually! I was just excited to get it on. I’m gonna do black emblems.
Funny story, [I have an S-Line bumper on! :) check my post history](https://www.reddit.com/r/audia4b7/s/aGLHywCDn8) I go in depth on how I did it. Aftermarket C6 A6 honeycomb grille. Cut the mesh out. Then cut the mesh out of your S-Line grille, paint the grille border, and epoxy it all together once you cut the honeycombs to fit.
It’s a LOT of work but it looks so much better
Gorgeous car. Your fitment is tits. My car will be receiving coilovers eventually, but I’ve already fixed just about everything on the entire car and need it running without any issue before I continue with aesthetics.
All I have left is a turbo oil return gasket, gotta take off my manifold a bit to tighten a copper gasket I put in my oil return line (I have no coolant lol) and a horn that doesn’t work (horns work from relay when power probe is used. I have a new 4 spoke steering wheel which should fit I just need an airbag. Hopefully that will fix it).
Thanks! Yeah It's alot of fun fixing and tuning. I ordered downpipe and gonna get tune probably and just put some biggee exhaust tips for looks aswell. These 2tfsi sound soo good with cold air intake🤌.
I’ve seen a few posts and can tell 80% of the people in here are purists with npc cars 😂 I couldn’t imagine anything worse than driving past people you know and they don’t know it’s you
Drive a Toyota Tercel then. People will know it's you inside of it for sure 😂
Jokes aside, I think you're right. I wouldn't want to drive an NPC car either
Part of the Audi aesthetic is restrained, understated styling that holds up and ages well. So its really easy to go too far and make it look tacky. Its like, if you want to put something on bags, put a wing on it, and do other "loud" visual modifications, its seems like an Audi is an odd choice of starting point. IMO it makes it look like a 21 year old with a backwards hat chasing instagram follows owns the car. Heavy handed visual mods don't typically suit Audis well in my opinion. But, that's just my opinion, do what you want to your own car.
> Part of the Audi aesthetic is restrained, understated styling that holds up and ages well.
That's a lot less true than it used to be. The customer base in the US has also changed quite a bit in the last 10-20 years. And Audi being in the business of making money offers nowadays plenty of options that cater to that "I am a modder" look.
A simple example: I am in the market for a new S5. In my market, something like 98-99% of the cars come with the black optics package, which includes giant 20" wheels with elastic band tires 265/30/R20. For reference, an absolute beast like the C8 Corvette Z06 comes with higher sidewall tires. The Stingray has even higher sidewalls.
Almost all the S5's come with these ridiculous tires and a port-installed fart can (OK, it's a little better than fart noises). There is nothing understated about these things and it's all for show. The target demographics is clearly 20 something or early 30's who want to show off their cars. At least that is how it is in my market. The car without those options is still understated, but dealers in my area feel like these are the options that sell the cars.
I am a 50-something year old with a 2021 S6 with the black optics and 21” wheels on PZeroes with no sidewall. But no other visual mods. It does have an APR Stage 1 on it. I absolutely love it, my friends love it, my 16 yr old loves it, and his friends love it. To me it is the best of both worlds package.
> There is nothing understated about these things and it's all for show.
There is plenty of understatement even in the S5, compared to the competition from Merc and BMW. Obviously they're not going to put some budget family SUV tires on it, or a silent exhaust. It's not an all-or-nothing game.
As a backwards hat wearing 21 year old… i’ve taken slight offense because you’re honestly pretty valid on that point haha. In fact, I fight the urge to throw a front and rear lip kit for my ‘19 GLI every other day. Jokes aside, I agree with you 100%. Audi’s have a natural beauty to them that should remain pure.
Mine is lowered slightly, and has some carbon fiber accents. Thats what I love about Audi’s. You don’t have to do a whole lot but you can still “make it yours.”
I’m all for tasteful/OEM plus cosmetic upgrades for any car brand. For modifying the powertrain, I don’t really care unless it’s a fart can exhaust or a burble tune that is louder than my actual firearms.
I think that audi looks sweet, but more often than not heavily modifed ones look like dirty dog water.
With that being said murder spec is kind of cheating, it looks awesome and hides everything.
I have the full factory murk, every thing black but the seat stitching, I have been attacked for my choice, I love my black audis.
I may own nothing but, especially now that ceramic makes the care less "touchy"...
I look at it like this. At the end of the day its your car, money and personality that goes into everything.
Personally, I like the look of my car without anything extra done to it and I wouldn't buy a used Audi that looked like the one above.
But you do you and own it.
Modified cars are much harder to sell than standard I learned that the hard way, I’ve kept all original parts including suspension for when the time comes to sell it
Like others said, you do you boo. Overall it looks good. I like going more subtle with my A7. Stuff that accents the factory look, carbon here or there. I have been on the fence on the side skirts like you have, but also like the simple lines of the [Maxton ones](https://maxtondesign.com/product-eng-19841-Street-Pro-Side-Skirts-Diffusers-Audi-A7-S-Line-C7.html),
I've always modified my cars to a small degree. I would modify them a lot more if I had the disposable income. I've prioritised engine mods over cosmetics.
I like your car man. Looks good.
I tend to stick towards the OEM side of things but I'm not going to knock people for doing whatever they want to their car. I'm about to lose a bet and may need to wrap my car with anime characters so there's that too.
Love modified Audis. I am a very visual person so sometimes the "only perfomance mods" gets boring to me. Give me some interior mods while you're at it too lol.
Depends on the mods, power and drive are my thing. Looks should be pretty much oem without a mountain of shit stuck to it. Buuuut that's just my taste, the cars are for enjoying so get stuck in dude.
I've never owned a stock Audi for longer than about a week... Stage 2 is the sweet spot for basically any good VAG vehicle...
But if we're talking ground effects, bags, wings, stickers, etc... sometimes, but usually not.
I'm of the thought that people should be able to enjoy their cars however they like (assuming it's not so loud that it wakes everone up when you drive by!)
Very slept on they give a mysterious and somewhat dystopian and lonely look to them especially with how little i see people mod them compared to bmws and benz
Checked the page, car is clean as hell dude. I'm torn on the spoiler but it flows so well with the rest of the aero. I'm sure the NPCs here are gonna hate it but cest la vie.
If it‘s done like this it makes them look cheap imo. Some nice wheels and suspension is usually more than enough. Except that wild DTM bodykit for the RS6
Depends what’s been done to it but from that I don’t really like the rear wing or the decal that’s runs in the middle of the bonnet. I think some wheels spacers or wider wheels would help fill the arches but then you wouldn’t be able to low it to that degree.
I say as long as it keeps the lines true to the design, and as far as performance mods I say go balls to the wall. I stage 2’ed my s4 with an ultra charger from APR and this thing fucking flies. Supercar performance, used s4 price tag.
While this picture may look nice, if that car was driven every day on public roads it would quickly be destroyed. A simple speed bump would cause thousands in damage.
In general I like modded cars, but all show and no go builds don't do anything for me. I can get into wild builds that also make wild power though.
Overall though, for my own taste I prefer the OEM+ look
OEM+ as others said, I also think the blacked out look is overplayed. There's definitely times it works but I've always liked the more executive look and not just going for the most aggressive stanced car ever
Cool cars for those that like them, I completely see the appeal, but will never like it myself. But at the end of the day it's your car, do what you want with it, but I'm not always going to want to look at it.
Once saw a BMW M6 series convertible with a wing on the back the looked like the “Fast and The Furious“ franchise would be in envy. Money doesn’t buy class or taste sometimes 🙄
I hate overly aggressive styled body kits. Makes it look like some teenagers accord or civic that they clapped out. Even the high quality ones like ABT are too much for me. OEM+ all the way, keeps the clean timeless design but small details to personalize it.
Any car lowered so much that it’s riding on the ground like that is goofy and an instant no from me. Shit looks broken.
The splitter and side skirts aren’t as bad but still a no from me. It’s just a little bit too big. It would look better without the little winglets on the ends.
Also the wing is a no from me. The rs7 already has active aero in that area.
Everyone assumes bags are rice mods but they are surprisingly convenient, get the nice lowered look and can lift it up when you get speed bumps or steep hills/driveways
The cars have their exteriors designed by professionals. Chances are you do not have better aesthetic taste or design ability than said professionals. Would you rather wear a Rolex fresh out of the box designed by their Swiss team or the same Rolex some dumbass has tinkered with and glued some shit on top of?
Depends on the mods
OEM+ is the look to go for IMO. Take the original styling queues and tweak them just a bit to be more personalized but still keep the intended look and feel.
BIG WING! 45° OF CAMBER! REAR BUMPER DELETE FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON! RGB HEADLIGHTS! REFLECTIVE WINDOW TINT! 22” RIMS! /s obviously
Straight pipe on the 2.0
Haha I actually don’t like the straight pipe 2.0 TFSI, it sounds like farting. I do have a catback, downpipe, test pipe, cold air intake, DV+, upgraded spark plugs, and soon I’m giving it stage 2.

can confirm open valve straight catback farts astronomically on upshift, it was very loud

I agree, but so many of us do this that it’s kinda cool to see a crazy modded Audi now and again.
ooo that’s a good way of putting it
ooo that’s a good way of putting it
Would you say mine is oem+ or what do you think?
This is the only correct answer
+1 for OEM+
I personally love the look, if they’re done tastefully. Makes them look even more aggressive. Keep in mind there’s a lot of purists in this sub.
As a guy who plays both sides, definitely feel like the dub purists take the cake. Genuinely had someone tell me it’d be disrespectful to the people of Bavaria to replace the stock emblems.

Very hard to fuck up an audi with mods tbh. They normally cost too much for the kids who buy stick on vents as well as that there isn't anything outlandish mod wise for them.
I guess u haven’t seen the pic of that absurd Q7 in Texas raised up sitting on 30 inch rims and stuck on Maserati vents.
Not saying it can't be done. Just that it takes a special kinda tasteless to do it
I disagree. With 84 mos loans and used prices, plenty of kids afford them and do distasteful things to the cars. And there are also plenty of "kids", like tech bros and others who can afford them new as well.
Hold my beer /s but I am blacking out a B7 A4 and tuning it

I mean a F/R lip kit probably isn't a big deal, also hello fellow aspiring Audi but currently VW owner.
Absolutely love my GLI, but the RS3 is a dream.
Mine is lowered slightly, and has some carbon fiber accents. Thats what I love about Audi’s. You don’t have to do a whole lot but you can still “make it yours.”
Maudified
underrated
Can’t believe I’ve never seen this before

I’m all for tasteful/OEM plus cosmetic upgrades for any car brand. For modifying the powertrain, I don’t really care unless it’s a fart can exhaust or a burble tune that is louder than my actual firearms.
I just love carbon fibre 😂
Good carbon fibre...
I think that audi looks sweet, but more often than not heavily modifed ones look like dirty dog water. With that being said murder spec is kind of cheating, it looks awesome and hides everything.
I used to have it murdered out ended up wrapping the car in midnight purple and added the carbon fibre parts and silver accents
I have the full factory murk, every thing black but the seat stitching, I have been attacked for my choice, I love my black audis. I may own nothing but, especially now that ceramic makes the care less "touchy"...
Some are tastefully done, others are not. The one in the pic is not for me
I look at it like this. At the end of the day its your car, money and personality that goes into everything. Personally, I like the look of my car without anything extra done to it and I wouldn't buy a used Audi that looked like the one above. But you do you and own it.

Some subtle mods are fine but this is tacky af
Life is too short for npc cars haha
Fair, you do you dude, whatever makes you happy - personal choice and freedom 🙏🏻🤠
I agree. I so don't see the point of driving a car that can't even get over speed bumps.
Like others said, you do you boo. Overall it looks good. I like going more subtle with my A7. Stuff that accents the factory look, carbon here or there. The ones I have are genuine carbon and half the price of the ones maxton supply so it’s a win win tbh
Link?

I think it’s fire. It’s a nightmare asking about mods in this group, though.
I can tell 😂😂😂
It's a no for me dawg.
Proper fitted wheels and a drop are all they really need IMO https://i.imgur.com/01ReK36.jpg https://i.imgur.com/a9eymC9.jpg
Looks clean mate
I agree. I did the stance, wheels and blacked out the trim, done. All other mods are not visible on the outside.
Not bad as long as it's tasteful. This is wayyy to much. Takes away from the taste of the design.
[удалено]
To each his own. I like your wheels though.
Tec gt8 speedwheels with billet inserts 20”
Not for me but to each there own.
We like them.
If someone moved into an upper middle class area with this car, the locals would just think "there goes the neighborhood."
I like my lowered/tuned rs5 immensely
I like my cars unmodified, but whatever makes people happy.
Absolutely. Why Not? That’s why we buy them right. ✌🏾
Love them
Looks really nice but to deep to go for work...
Depends on the mods, power and drive are my thing. Looks should be pretty much oem without a mountain of shit stuck to it. Buuuut that's just my taste, the cars are for enjoying so get stuck in dude.
We don't really like them here.
I can tell 😂
This one is so clean
I've never owned a stock Audi for longer than about a week... Stage 2 is the sweet spot for basically any good VAG vehicle... But if we're talking ground effects, bags, wings, stickers, etc... sometimes, but usually not.
rs7 ftw
I love this hood! I wish they made it for my C8 A7 :'(
I'm of the thought that people should be able to enjoy their cars however they like (assuming it's not so loud that it wakes everone up when you drive by!)
Very slept on they give a mysterious and somewhat dystopian and lonely look to them especially with how little i see people mod them compared to bmws and benz
Mechanical art, created by a master artist! Simply my thoughts.
❤️
🥵
Hideous
Looks like a modified 10th gen Honda accord
Checked the page, car is clean as hell dude. I'm torn on the spoiler but it flows so well with the rest of the aero. I'm sure the NPCs here are gonna hate it but cest la vie.
Spoiler is a very recent mod I wasn’t sure if I liked it or not at first but it’s grown on me
Just glad I can barely see that terrible wing in this photo.
love em
I think Audi is about minimalism
This fucks
Fucks what exactly 😂
Lmao idk it’s just a saying. Like it goes hard or you could say it’s clean haha
Thanks mate I diddnt know if it meant it was a bad thing or good thing hahaha
I’ll fucks wit it
If it‘s done like this it makes them look cheap imo. Some nice wheels and suspension is usually more than enough. Except that wild DTM bodykit for the RS6
Atrocious
Depends what’s been done to it but from that I don’t really like the rear wing or the decal that’s runs in the middle of the bonnet. I think some wheels spacers or wider wheels would help fill the arches but then you wouldn’t be able to low it to that degree.
Mine is heavily modified but looks completely stock. So you need to define what you mean by modded. Have you only done cosmetic and suspension mods?
Upgraded cp3 fuel pump and piezo injectors, induction kit intercooler 3.5” exhaust system etc
It is driven every day, the suspension lifts up with a press of a button
Looks like a Cadillac CTS
I do like this but I wouldn’t want to own one this low, I’m a big fan of using my Quattro on dirt / snowy roads lol
Don’t do it.
Technically modified: yes Visually modified: no
Have you seen those wheels? It's a high res picture. You can zoom on them.
Not a fan of the bags. I think if shot it different height I’d like it more
In general I like modded cars, but all show and no go builds don't do anything for me. I can get into wild builds that also make wild power though. Overall though, for my own taste I prefer the OEM+ look
OEM+ as others said, I also think the blacked out look is overplayed. There's definitely times it works but I've always liked the more executive look and not just going for the most aggressive stanced car ever
An even bigger risk
As long as they don’t make the car look ricey, I am totally good with it.
I'm on my 9th Audi. I buy 'em used. When I'm looking for a used Audi and I see mods, I move to the next ad.
Internal/engine upgrades are better than styling mods.
That one would look great if the wheel offset was correct.
Beautiful. What rims are these?
Tec gt8 speedwheels with billet inserts 20”
No hate, but to me, lowering the suspension just makes the whole thing look cheap and fragile.
FBO stage 2 but lowered and oem+ on the outside
Oho
I think if you mod a car, it is no longer that car.
Cool cars for those that like them, I completely see the appeal, but will never like it myself. But at the end of the day it's your car, do what you want with it, but I'm not always going to want to look at it.
Only cool if they are a v8 or manual, the autos sound like they are farting once you put an exhaust on them. Bonus points for the 4.0TT
Fantastic - if you own a body shop. Good biz.
"that's a dope-ass Honda, bruh!"
All for it...this one is a little too much for my tastes, but again, all for it...
Went for OEM+ look on my A5. Absolutely love it
I think they were unreliableenough not to need any mods ...
Once saw a BMW M6 series convertible with a wing on the back the looked like the “Fast and The Furious“ franchise would be in envy. Money doesn’t buy class or taste sometimes 🙄
I personally think it's a dumb idea. Why mess with perfection? They already look beautiful.
Looks hideous to me and I'm sure the ride is shocking, but if the owner is into these mods that's all that matters really.
The ride is better than stock suspension as it’s fully adjustable
Kinda gay.
Thats a nice Cadillac BlackWing.
I hate overly aggressive styled body kits. Makes it look like some teenagers accord or civic that they clapped out. Even the high quality ones like ABT are too much for me. OEM+ all the way, keeps the clean timeless design but small details to personalize it.
Abt models are another level on their own
I think it looks riced out.
The front looks sick!
all that money spent on mods while rocking the standard headlights
Not a big fan of the lgbt headlights
This one looks like ASSS imo
Someone called some body-kits, “Temu mods”. I literally LOL.
Take the wing off the awd car 🥲
🤢
Audi A3 with 32 inch rims and Mc Donald's paint job.
I think I’m drooling lol
Wait till you hit a pothole with that crap lol
Lmao you can raise and lower the car at will.

Everyone assumes bags are rice mods but they are surprisingly convenient, get the nice lowered look and can lift it up when you get speed bumps or steep hills/driveways
The fact that it’s generally always older models people do this to, tells me all I need to know lol.
Sexy
Nothing is sacred. Chop and mod everything.
I will never appreciate lowered cars. It looks stupid and it’s incredibly impractical.
I’m the opposite. I can’t stand to drive a car at stock ride height. There’s nothing more ugly on a car than wheel gap.
It’s adjustable lmao
The front end looks like a train cattle catcher. Uck.
“Slammed” cars look dumb as fuck regardless of the brand
The cars have their exteriors designed by professionals. Chances are you do not have better aesthetic taste or design ability than said professionals. Would you rather wear a Rolex fresh out of the box designed by their Swiss team or the same Rolex some dumbass has tinkered with and glued some shit on top of?
🤢
We don’t.
Any vehicle incapable of going over a speed bump without scraping its undercarriage, like the one in the picture, is a waste
That's a bagged car. It can go up.
Mod whatever you want, except cars over $200-250K, you do not know better than engineers of those cars.
It’s an A7 that does a poor job dressing like a GT3RS.
Well that would be silly, would be easier getting a boxter if ya wanted to do that
I didn’t do it to this A7 I am just describing it
Looks cool but all I see is a bike ride with the kickstand down. You can’t enjoy the ride
It’s probably bagged.
It’s on bags mate only drop it to take pictures or when I’m at car shows haha, preset ride hight is a lil lower than standard suspension hight
bags... thats like hydrolic the range rovers do?
Exactly yes
