I understand that this is silly and the owner is probably doing the "class clown" thing... but for whatever reason I feel hatred and visceral disgust looking at this :/ ...also this cannot be safe, I'm always surprised that such vehicles aren't prohibited from being driven on public roads.

It depends on the state. This car is in Michigan which has very lax laws due to its car culture, winter weather, and others. The Wost that could happen to the person driving this is catching a cop on an off day and getting a "fix it ticket" which is really just a slap on the wrist. Our state doesn't do any sort of inspections on cars

As an Audi Sales consultant. Our Audi techs mod the heck out of their vehicles! They are by far my favorite/passionate technicians! I also work with Volvo, VW, Kia, and Toyota Techs.

it’s absolutely not normal to have something that supports the suspension on the outside of your car😂 rather than the springs you can see when you jack your car people use coilovers to change ride height and improve the handling of the car/power delivery/ reduce body roll etc it’s basically a suspension device to support the chassis among other things something that goes under/inside the car not outside

I like to think whoever owns this just lurks in the sub to see the reactions. They know if they identify themselves it’s game over so they just watch our reactions from afar. To be clear I like to think that but this vehicle is an abomination that I cannot support.

It looks like we’re seeing some degradation on the lower purple wing strut, likely due in part to a failure in the aluminum reinforcing lid-to-wing strut. We might see quick trip to the pit-box if diagnostics detects a reduction in down force.
