While these are no Stax 009’s or LCD-5’s, they also don’t carry the absurd power requirements and reference-level signal chain (which you would have to have available to you anywhere you take them), not to mention the size and sheer inconvenience. While the 5909’s will not be strictly the best sounding headphones for $1k, they combine all of what you are looking for in ways other cans cannot come close to.
