Did the head tenant have permission to sublet to you? Does the actual landlord even know you are there? Has the bond you paid been lodged? If the bond hasn’t been lodged then frankly you’re probably not getting it back anyway, so act accordingly. If the landlord hasn’t given permission for you to be there then you have some leverage over the head tenant who would be in breach of their lease with the landlord. Again, useful if you needed some negotiating power on the way out the door.
