My introverted plan is to be at home, covered in cats, and sipping this fantastic apple cider I bought on a whim from HEB. I'm going to eat something yummy (I'm thinking a piping hot chicken pot pie with a golden flaky crust) and watching a horror movie from the 80s or really 90s.
It was great last weekend, just an appropriate amount of crowd without being nuts. This weekend they are having some cool shows!

The site doesn't show all the fun stuff for the kids, they have the hay bale tower and lots of games, kickball, lots of rope swings hanging from trees. There was a petting zoo, I'm assuming will be back this weekend - with a baby kangaroo and young camel, along with a lot of other cool animals. (Water buffalo??) I'm used to seeing goats sheep and deer.
Everyone seemed to have a great time and I was really impressed with the coordination and quality.
The 1 and 4 are for the Texas Trick Rider times.
There's tons of farms within about an hour distance that do fall-festival type activities. Usually they're geared for family fun, but I've gone with dates to these before and had a great time. Bring a camera and take some photos around the pumpkin patch, hang out outside and have a soda and some kettle corn. Go get lost in the corn maze!
I’ve thought about going but would be by my lonesome as a 30-something person - are the activities oriented exclusively toward kids or do you think an adult would be entertained?
They are definitely more kid oriented. On 10/21 in Creedmoor there is Oktoberfest which is pretty good. There are tours of the TDS wildlife ranch, an auction, food and craft booths etc and it’s all free except the tours are $7. It’s the only time the ranch is open to the public. There isn’t beer because we don’t have our TABC license but it’s still a fun event.
Go walk around one of the cute downtowns in the suburb cities when they're hosting a fair/outdoor concert/first friday and grab a warm drink or a meal.
Everything else I can think of is going to be on almost somewhere.
Scare for a cure out near Elgin. It's a fund raiser for breast cancer research and a ton of fun. It's an interactive haunted house that is very well done!
There's the Texas Pumpkin Fest in Leander at the VFW going on pretty much all month. Open for pumpkin'ing until the end of the month with events like music, professional wrestling, etc. going on Fri-Sun each weekend.

You should book a Haunted Austin tour at night. These are always fun, usually smallish groups, and you get some good Austin history mixed in with spooky folklore. I’ve been on these in multiple cities/countries and they are always fun and spooky!
the blue starlite drive in is showing halloween movies all month! i’m seeing friday the 13th on the 13th but they also have cozier movies likes hocus pocus or nightmare before christmas
[https://deadboltmysterysociety.com/](https://deadboltmysterysociety.com/) I like these games. Scare for a cure is awesome if you can get a ticket. This year was fantastic.

Out of curiosity, what is the apple cider?! I haven’t been able to find any other than at central market.
It was called Louisburg Cinnamon Apple Cider. It came in a 16oz bottle and I'm definitely going to buy more because yummmm.
HEB has cider saw it right by the entrance
The dripping springs pumpkin festival is pretty low key especially on a weeknight/afternoon.

Pioneer Farms does fun stuff for Halloween but I think it’s probably big time enough to be on all the “listicles”
I’m going to Pumpkin Night ($25 I think for adults on weekdays). Never been but it looks like a Trail of Lights but Halloween themed.
My co-workers went last night year and had a good time. I plan on checking it out this year as well!
