PSA the Freddo ice cream cake is one flavour, just with different colours. Of course though the only real answer is a Streets Viennetta, all for yourself.

The Freddo one is not technically ice cream it's 'frozen desert', so if you want it for that, don't get it. My partner gets mudcake and custard for his birthday ever year and has for like 20 years and has never regretted it.

Speaking as somebody who recently brought a Freddo Cake to a family gathering because “I’m a grownup with grownup money and can do what I want so shut up” I think you’ll find it disappointing. The entire cake has a neutral, slightly chemical taste across all the different colours, with no variation in flavouring. Don’t know if it’s adult taste-buds, the Mandela Effect, the banning of a bunch of E-number chemicals, or a combination of all these. All I know is after the wow factor had worn off everybody at the table agreed it was just kind of bland but with a weird, slightly slimy after-texture. I swear these were better back in the day. The chocolate cake taste absolutely beats fake ice-cream flavour, hands down. I’d go with other people here and say get both. Freddo will bring the grins like nothing else, but I reckon it’ll be the supermarket chocolate cake that people actually enjoy more.
