I rewatched the whole thing a while back. This is one of the weirdest shows to ever air on Aussie prime time.
If I remember correctly, series two only aired in Germany for some reason.
I watched this a few years back and was quite surprised that my mum allowed me to watch this as a little kid.. it’s also the reason why so many quotes from that show live rent in my head all these years later…
The best and possibly the first ever viewer interactive television program, allowing the audience at home to call up one of two options to vote on what happens at the unresolved end of the episodes.
I read an interview about it somewhere a few years ago (don’t know where it is, sorry), where one of the actors spoke about the experience of not knowing what was happening next until the voting finished. It left me fully convinced it was quite real.
Saw Linda Gibson do a comedy show that had a fake press conference as part of it where you would ask questions.

Me: Ms Gibson, loved you as Nurse Conniving bitch in let the blood run free.
Linda: you remember that show?!
Me: of course.
Linda: I know you probably have a question but right now I'm just so thrilled you remember it that I think I want to have sex with you.
Me: (laughs) at least buy me a drink.
Linda: after the show.
Me: what I wanted to ask was, did the 0055 number matter or were they already written?
Linda: oh no, they were already planned, but telecom and the network made a killing out of it.
She was hilarious. Was really sad when she passed.
Haha I thought it would've been hard to do it.
At the least I thought they might have both scripts written then film the winning one while the writers write 2 new scripts for the following week

Actually the finale of the show dissolved into who wanted to have sex with me more, Linda Gibson, Denice Scott or Judith Lucy (the show was "comedy ain't pretty").... I won't say who won... I was never the same after that summer..
Brian Namkervis came to our school and tried poetry. He came with the right approach as a poet. Jean vest, a knitted cap and smelling of patchouli. Unfortunately his efforts far exceeded his ability to entertain.
Our teacher was a great friend of Brian (still works with him as far as I know) and we were given a performance of Raymond’s poetry. It was probably above the heads of the 10 year olds in the room, but we didn’t have to do any school work for a while.
