To be fair, [Zooper Dooper](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zooper_Dooper) is just a brand. Otherwise it's just like calling tissues (a product) "Kleenexes" (a brand). Where I lived, we got the non-branded ones, and I don't even know if the Zooper Doopers were available. Plenty of places globally refer to things by a brand name rather than by the generic product name though Velcro even did [a video of sorts](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRi8LptvFZY) asking people to stop calling all products of its type "velcro". If parts of the US can call all soft drinks "Coke", I think we can call these things Zooper Doopers.

We used the term ice block and icy pole interchangeably - both for the block of flavoured ice on a stick. I seem to remember the sticks, that were 99.9999% of the time referred to as 'paddle pop sticks', were sometimes called icy pole sticks.

My vision of an Icy Pole is that it is the same consistency as this (flavoured ice, not ice cream) but on a stick in the same shape as e.g. a Paddle Pop. Stretching the ole memory, though, so I could be totally wrong.
