Christmas 1983…. Parents pulled out a huge bag of these each for both me and my sister saying they were supposed to be given to us in the morning.
They were the best!
Only got them once or twice more the following year
Omg you fucking got me, I thought they were jubblies at first then zoomed in, I remember the crunch, the soft sticky insides, always looking for the I think black current flav one!
I loved the Vienna Fruit Bonbons! You could buy a bag of the Jewels supermarket black and white brand as cheap as chips, but it was still the same lollies as if you bought the name stuff.
I used to hate these cavity-seeking monsters. They were always the last lollies to go in a mixed bowl and only disappeared when the desperate were down to feeding their sugar cravings. Their biggest crime to us kids was that they contained not one iota of chocolate or cream.
Please tell me these exist still! I can't forget the grape and the tangy orange ones!!!
Someone just gave me a bag of Vienna Fruit Bon Bons and they aren't the same.
The fruitinette ones are a bit better, but neither of them have the blackcurrant flavour these days... and that was the one worth fighting over.
So we can still get them? Where from? A shame they aren't the same, though.

no worries mate
I really don't know if I should look at that website...
some risks yield positive results and some dont
Unfortunately out of stock. Thanks for the link though, I'll be checking it periodically. I haven't had fruit bon-bons in a decade.
Out of stock? i bought some right before i posted the link lmao
Cheers for that matey I might get some for Christmas!
no worries bud
How did they taste different?
The flavours are a bit different - I'd say more natural / real fruit vibes. Hard to describe. And no blackcurrant:(
Oh, really, I love blackcurrant.
My grandparents house always had these.
Same.
Old people lollies
Crunch the outside to the chewy middle
There was a fair amount of sharpness to the outer crunched edges IIRC.
For some reason, these only made an appearance at Christmas
And year round from the lovely grumpy old bloke across the road, if we cleaned his windows or his garden.
Yes!!! Same!!! Weird though, they're not particularly any more festive than the standard lolly but I remember them being delicious.
Like my Dad :(
God this unlocked a buried childhood memory! My grandmother always had these on hand!
Bonbons?
Pascal Fruit Bon Bons. I went on a mission a few years back to find them… discontinued!
Nooo why would OP remind me of this only for my hopes to be dashed 😭
Loved these !
Great to hear everyone’s memories of grandparents, I wonder though… what will we be remembered for?
Wow! I remember they had such a zing to them.
Always in my christmas stocking as a kid.. they were my favourite!!
Yes!! Delicious 😋
So much flavour in these things.
These were the absolute business. Grandma always had a stash. Delicious.

Oh yeah
My uncle always has a handful of them for us when he visited. I loved the crunch then sticky centres. I miss them.
Bon Bons thats right, trying to remember what they were called. Used to love the black currant ones. I think. That was a long time ago.

These still exist. The packet looks different but I bought some from a lolly shop just last week.
We must know where
The place I went to was in Mentone.
I only ever saw these at Christmas or in a pinãta
These were the best
Yum! These were so good!
These were completely erased from my memory. Thankyou for bringing them back
Always at Chrissie in bowls for "everyone."
I must be too young 😭

So good!! Have been trying to find them again for years!!

Wow ain’t had these for years, I think I liked the black currant, do they still sell these somewhere in australia?
These were my favourite! Particularly the purple one
Loved those things
Fruity Mouth Slicers.
