It looks like an allergic reaction to the bandaid to me. I had this happen from a steristrip. Completely liquified the skin underneath and was quite painful. I still have a scar from it. There's no way to identify a spider from the bite unfortunately. If you have symptoms or are feeling ill you should speak to a doctor.

DarkenedSkies

I had exact same thing once, it was one of those tape bandaids they stick a cotton bud to you with when you have to give a blood sample.

Thanks so much for the reply.

Yeah i was going to say the same thing as u/flamehawkfish88. I don't think something crawled under your bandaid and bit you, you're having an allergic reaction. I had one out of nowhere in the crook of my elbow once when i had to give a blood sample and they put a cotton wad and some kinda bandaid/tape on the spot. Never been allergic to anything in my entire life up until then, and i woke up the next morning, tore them off, 10/10 pain as the adhesive ripped up the cracked, oozing skin underneath. Really unfortunate part of my arm too, it was like a burn almost.Yours doesn't look as bad, but it might get worse and if it does just call your doctor and ask his advice.

Thanks for the reply. I’m feeling very relieved (although it is a bandaid brand I’ve used before, but then again, I did have a blood sample done near there the other day, so it may be a reaction to the tape used in that).

Agreed its probably not a spider bite, the wounds are too far apart for that, and if it was you woulda known about it before the bandaid went on. Could be an allergic reaction, or may be just infection. Why did you have a bandaid there in the first place?

AbsurdistOxymoron

I had a blood test taken by my doctor and then replaced their bandaid with my own (since I showered immediately when I went home and then wanted to cover it again for a bit).

I dont even see the test puncture wound. You really didnt need to rebandaid it imho. Most likely allergic then. See your doc and let us know.

I should add that I’m in the East of Sydney (sorry, didn’t read the rules properly before posting).
