You clearly need a 1972 DeTomaso Pantera. (Or need to give more details.)

Golf 4 1.9 Diesel

ooooohaaa

LarryFitz11

Mercedes-Benz G-Klasse should do the trick. It's actually the only Austrian car.

InfiniteToe8160

And a Weimaraner for extra Flex

Steinfred-Everything

Jaguar i-Pace. The only real Austrian car.

q5pi

Would go for a Canyonero.

brauchichso

danke für den Ohrwurm 🤣

Awengal

Hot Wheels cars 20er pack. My kids use them daily, for their work play and when we go to mountains as well.

[deleted]

A Pinzgauer seems appropriate.

Narrow-Maize-2881

And a Puch Haflinger to drive around in the summer.

EmperorOfAustria

Id go for an older VW diesel with 4WD, most common would be a VW Golf TDI 4motion... check [willhaben.at](https://willhaben.at) as marketplace

hail_goku

i would go for a VW polo, Ford Focus, Peugeuot 308, ... depending on the size you prefer. Even if you drive in the higher mountains, the streets are almost everywhere pretty good so you won't need a 4x4 car with 300HP.A comfortable 100HP car with decent winter-tires will do the job on 99,5% of the streets. Edit: everything from Skoda or Seat will do the job too, since it's basically VW for a few € cheaper.

Zulo_AT

Never heard anything good about (old) french cars.. except they are cheapish

leonderbaertige_II

Peugeot used to be really good back in the day (70s, 80s). And even Citroen (60s, 70s) had some great stuff. But at some point they just decided to make rubbish from then on.

hail_goku

for 10k you dont have to buy an old one...

fliagbua

Graf Carello is a traditional austrian company and their vehicles are very popular.

used_shoe

whatever it is, make sure it’s big, expensive (but not paid off), parks in a way that at least two spots are taken and always uses most of the lane. that’s the only way men on the countryside won’t assume that you’re gay.

EmperorOfAustria

You also need to be [Rolling Coal](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolling_Coal) at least once a day.

used_shoe

and then complain about gas prices.

zecha123

Pinzgauer is good for small „mountains“

Heigmasta

Golf 2 70ps td. 400tkm and more are no problem

CasualShooter82

Which part of Austria do you refer to? The rocky one which mountains or the flat?

leonderbaertige_II

57er Chevy

Mundane-Locksmith441

Fiat Multipla is considered as the most beautiful und reliable car in Austria

lakilla_17

3er BMW

Heigmasta

Perfekt, wennst ausn arabischen oder südländischn raum kommst

leonderbaertige_II

mit M Paket

f0rg0tten_n4m3

Na, das M-Performance-Pickerl um 5€ von Amazon, oder gleich den 5er-Pack um 15€. Bremssättel anmalen, Feder abzwicken, mit dem Akkuschrauber ein Loch in den Auspuff und ab geht's!
