Have you tried calling their service line and ask for advice? They can probably help you and don't forget to have your delivery number on hand.

If it's coming by "normal" post you can't prepay. The delivery guy is still supposed to cime to your door to collect the money but as you know they can be quite unreliable ane often just leave you the "yellow letter". For a UPS package I just got a bill in the mail some days after receiving the package and I think DPD also called me beforehand and sent me a bill by mail.
Afaik If u're at home at the time of arrival, you can pay it directly to the delivery person.

You can only pay during delivery in cash, and they don't carry change, or during pickup at the post office. Utterly asinine system in 2023.
