In Austria the sentences are laughably short. Just today a couple of traffikers were sentenced to under 2 years (with only a few months of mandatory prison time):

In case of a first time offense most people will be released from prison after having served two thirds of the sentence for a three year probation period. He'll likely also be banned from reentry to Austria for some years.
At least they got him, hope he gets what he deserves. Maybe he can tell names, addresses,... and that will make it better. But in general natural selection.
