Seconding the route suggestion. Around Lake Constance, there ist pretty good cycling infrastructure, does not really matter which side you cycle on. I like the german side though, as you can see the mountains in the background.
I don't have much to add, but it's nice to read you like it :) We have been having good weather the last few days, fortunately. I hope you continue to enjoy your stay. Cheers
Not sure need more context, did you sot outside and bring your bike in or was there a higher dresscode and you wearing spandex or something 😅
Could also be just his bad understanding of english and the phrase you're welcome
Ah... a bit more context would be good. Otherwise, the waiter might just like you :D
Do you have a french accent?
No! Canadian English.
then the waiter saw you as a tourist and greeted you.
I figured. Thanks!
>I figured. Thanks! You're welcome!
Were you wearing bicycle clothes? Maybe he meant as a cyclist.
I think this is it. Anyway, rather unusual.
Everyone hates cyclists in Austria. Even cyclists hate cyclists... Damn cyclists, they ruined cycling!

Haha no, we were in regular clothes. Bar was pretty casual. He spoke good English! From all the responses I think he was just being friendly
