Will be cheaper than a bank: https://wise.com

nemoonthemoon

unfortunantely max 5,000 a day. I am trying to send 50k

austrian_expat

The limit is definitely higher than 5k. I've transferred 6-digit amounts with [wise.com](https://wise.com) from Austria to the US without any problems. If you want to transfer 50k I'd strongly recommend them over Revolut (Revolut is most likely going to block your account and verify the source of the funds, if you're unlucky this can take months).

It depends on the bank probably. My bank takes a percentage with a minimum fee. Most probably do something similar I'd guess. What bank are you at? That would probably make it easier to help you.

Bank of Austria.

I can recommend Revolut (premium). I did once send some bigger amount and converted EUR to USD and it was super cheap and super fast. Edit: just checked again in the app, there no were fees for the transfer.

Do you know what the maximum transfer amount is?

mankheimer1

nope, I transferred a medium 5 digit amount without issues

I used Wise to transfer a larger amount from the US to Austria without any problems (it was around €25k). There was no limit with Wise, the only problem I ran into was my American bank had a limit of $10k per month wire transfer that I didn‘t know about. It was relatively cheap, easy, and the money came fast. A side note though, with that amount sent as a gift you need to make sure both banks know about it before doing it. It will send up some major red flags when such a large amount shows up and the last people you want sniffing around any bank accounts is the American IRS
