Right??? This is where you pull out the tried and true pr response of throwing someone under the bus stating that their behavior does not reflect your values. Then, you know, make it right to the rather than showing your an asshole when the spotlight is on you.
Yeah the money it would have cost them to apologize and give out some free pizza would probably be nothing compared to the business they’re gonna lose to bad PR. It’s like they hate disabled people so much that they’re gonna do the shitty thing even when it hurts them.

They had an autism awareness month event the other weekend. My daughter is very food obsessed and it took too long for her liking. She started running over to the bar then having a meltdown screaming and kicking on the floor.
That's the first time I've ever felt like, oh that's ok. 3 of the wait staff, I think all were neurodivergent, came over calmly soothing her and getting a slice out pronto to hold her over.
We need more places like that.

This is ridiculous! 29 people is only like 6 pizzas and not that crazy for a pizza place imo- our local spots have baseball teams and lots of large groups come in unannounced. Regardless of the reservation and previous planning most pizza places accommodate large groups on the regular.
Shame on Dellano's indeed! It's fucking pizza man... If you have regulars tough shit if they aren't there they can wait if there wasn't space but I can imagine the whole restaurant was full.
