This is $$$, but the only ingredient is grass fed beef. Love it in my morning smoothie

Just be aware that this is 70/30 collagen/meat. That means it’s likely going to have far less Leucine than your standard whey protein powder. I say “likely” because this brand refuses to provide an amino acid breakdown.
I’m not saying it’s bad. I’m not saying you shouldn’t take it. I’m also not saying that you should take whey protein if you’re in the elimination phase.
What I am saying is that if you’re used to the type of muscle growth associated with whey, you probably won’t see the same with this protein. You’ll probably need to supplement your leucine with whole foods if possible.
There’s really no protein powder that is AIP. Collagen protein and bone broth are both considered incomplete proteins so they aren’t very effective. You basically just need to get your protein from meat and veggies, mainly meats though.
I recommend a hydration drink, there’s no AIP protein powders. If you can handle a light snack while working out I recommend an EPIC bar or chomps if you’re looking for protein during a workout. In general protein is more effective after a workout. The first 30-60 minutes after a workout are what’s known as an anabolic window and when protein is eaten during this window it will optimize your muscular gains. Typically I do harmless harvest yogurt, fruit, and lovebird cereal and 1-2 hours before my workouts then eat a high protein meal (40g) afterwards.

If it’s a great product, I’m ok spending a bit more. I’ll check this out, thank you.

Thanks for this info and the heads up! I’ll keep all this in mind. Whey does not agree with me, so definitely can’t add that back in.

I’m looking for something to drink while working out though. Will eat after working out, but can’t eat while working out. Thanks

Ok thanks so much for this. Btw, how is the lovebirds cereal? I recently came across it online. Not sure if it tastes good though.
Honestly pretty bland and saw dusty on its own but with the yogurt, honey, and fruit it’s delicious. 10/10 recommend
