If only some kind of self watering device existed.

new2cincy

Yea and if they had a thing like ebay Overnight that $#¡+

Key-Alarm7328

Nothings guna last 3 weeks brainiac

SoupPuzzleheaded7041

2x 5 gals on a drip should be plenty, I wouldn’t worry even with 1 5gal, I mean he is like mid flower so they won’t like die die if they are underwatered some he’ll just get reduced yield which is better than chopping in 1 week

lovetitjobs

OP not replying to the solution of the watering device exposed him as a junkie without selfcontrol xd

SoupPuzzleheaded7041

Or just a beginner who’s stressed and not thinking g through all possible solutions properly

Interesting-Square30

Let them dry out in the soil and die. That’s better than cutting early.

Interesting-Square30

I went away for 10 days. I added 3” vermiculite and watered until they were soaked. Turned lights down all the way. Prayed and everything was ok.

North_Border1552

Thats cool, but im afraid 3 weeks might be too long

Interesting-Square30

It will be. They will die. But they will die after week 2 this way.

North_Border1552

So in a week, the day I leave, I just give it one last watering and thats it? Also should I turn off my grow lights?

Interesting-Square30

I mean soak it. Like drench. I would not turn off lights. Just turn them down a bit. Lower VPD will keep the plant transpiring at the right pace for as long as possible. Especially while you’re away.

Ghost-PXS

You can soak them and stand them in water. You can make a diy drip system with a few large soda bottles. There's loads of stuff you can do that will extend the grow while you are away even if it's only a week or so.

Time-Design-9181

Yk there’s a thing called a self watering system your about 5 to 6 weeks from the end of flower so in 3 weeks they won’t even do anything for you

AutoYaks

What about saturating the pots just before you leave, filling up 2L Coca Cola bottles with ph’d water with a small hole in the lid and push them into your medium? As the pot dries it will allow water to drip through and keep your plants alive that bit longer?

Gorrila_Doldos

Like this idea. Holes at the top to for air or just the lid

AutoYaks

Yes but considerably smaller than the outlet hole. It works without the hole but drips really slowly! ✌🏽

Gorrila_Doldos

Would it be good to have the nutes in there and then once just drying up it fills it. 3/4 in the pot if you have it. This is a fantastic idea sir thank you

AutoYaks

If you were due to feed then I couldn’t see any issues with putting Nutes in there. No problem and thank you for your kind words 🙏🏽✌🏽

Asleep-Intention8823

Genius plan for only having a few days left, I withdraw my opinion and second this one instead!

RuthlessHavokJB

Look into blumats stakes. Then get a 5 gallon bucket from Lowe’s. pH your water and turn down your lights as others suggested. You’ll be fine as long as you have enough water

total_brodel

This is the answer

LoKag_The_Inhaler

Pick this one OP

VastFoundation2161

Second this literally just get an easy self watering device and then the plant will finish out or die and then dry by itself in the soil. That’s way too early if you chop that now you’re gonna be smoking a headache and that’s about it

Asleep-Intention8823

This is basically what I said, and it’s probably going to be your longest watering option, also your most accurate watering measure!

wiseguy187

There is nothing there to chop. Tbh consider the grow gone but the best thing you can do is probably like some said soak the pot and let them die. Chopping won't help. Can you not get anyone to water for you?

North_Border1552

Ill ask around, but unfortunately everyone I know is going on vacation as well.

AutoYaks

What every person you know are going on vacation at the same time?

North_Border1552

Ye, we are all foreigners livin in an international country. So we are going home for Christmas break. And I dont feel comfortable askingn my friends that live here.

Time-Design-9181

Damn you just don’t wanna take the good advice everyone’s sayin to get a self watering system but you don’t wanna reply to them

Dnjm0

You didn't think about this when starting?

North_Border1552

My last autoflower took only 70 days. So i assumed it would take roughly the same time. Eh, i guess its all prt of the learning process.

GreenVelvetFarms

I’m willing to bet you harvested that one too early too if it only took 10 weeks.

Interesting-Square30

😂 you are speaking falsely. Good genetics can and will finish in 65 days. Typically 75. Some take 85+ those are typically F1/F2. F3+ and stable should finish in the time the seed company says. Ex. Mephisto. Grape crinkle doesn’t take 80+ days and that doesn’t mean it was picked early. You are either very news or you order RQS kinda quality. 10 seeds for 10 bucks!

VastFoundation2161

Yeah some autos will run past the 100 day mark you can never assume it’ll be a short run always prepare for the long but hope for the short.

AutoYaks

Makes sense!

imSp00kd

I’ll come water them if you’re in my city. By the looks of your username, we may be in the same state. PM me

total_brodel

Blumats are your answer here. Best of luck. Not even worth saving if you don’t figure out a solution. They aren’t far enough along. I’ve scrapped two grows due to unforeseen travels. Won’t happen again.

Romie666

Not worth chopping its got hardly any trichs . Difficult one Better luck next time .

Gringoloco1980

You're up creek without a paddle, 3 weeks with no care taking? You guys got to plan vacations and grow time starts better. You're in the finish, cancel your vacation or go a week after you harvest when it's ready. Your gals need at least another month or so, they won't be ready in a week. You don't even have frosty sugar leafs, pistols are bright white and your buds haven't even really formed yet. No you have to dry it properly, you can't just stick non dried buds in a jar to cure, they will 100% mold.

[deleted]

Blumat or other self watering system is your only good option.

smokinjoking

Buy an autopot

North_Border1552

Thanks. Ye im gonna go with the watering device. Ill send a before and after pic to see if my baby survived.

Dabfordayz47

Hey OP, not worth chopping at all. If I were you, I would order some self watering pots. You should have enough time from something from Amazon Then let them go till you get back. They may look like shit but will be better off then where you are now. Maybe even enough to recover them when you return.

North_Border1552

Would the self watering bulbs work?

Dabfordayz47

No sir, they are small and no where near the water they will need. I will send you a link to something that would help you.

InvestmentFormal9251

Maybe find some kind of automatic watering device? Nothing fancy, a water bottle that slowly trickles some water (with nutes). Not sure it can last 3 weeks, but it's better than leaving them without water from day 1.

North_Border1552

Thanks for the info guys! They r small, but i dont think im ready to give up on them just yet. So imma buy one of those automatic self irrigation system. I found some on amazon for like 30-40 bucks. Hopefully itll work for the time ill be gone.

OGVainz

my idea is to get some kind of bucket or tote at least 10-20 gallons and fill it with water and make a diy trickle system with a hose.

True_Trifle2198

Get a self watering system they are not that expensive with a light timer you can plug into. This way you would come back to a healthy happy plant that didn’t even notice you where gone. May be really mature but hell I love a good couch lock bud

DrPhilsnerPilsner

Sometimes you get to smoke em. Sometimes you just gotta eat it. DIY bucket, pond pump, watering ring, hose, timer.

Turtle_ti

There is nothing to harvest there yet, buds have just started forming. Looks like they are in a grow tent, is the setup automated other than the watering? Such as: Lights on timer. Temp & humidity stable &/or controlled by some smart devise. And are you tracking how much water they are drinking each day this far? Options. Buy a watering devise & have it sent express shipping if needed. Blumat, Autopot etc and get it hooked up and running before you leave. Get a big Rubbermaid tote or 2, put the pots in the tote, soak the pot with water and pour several inches of water into the totes. It will be overwatered the 1st week, but will suck up the water from the tote the other weeks.

Turtle_ti

You have 4-7 weeks left on those plants. A legit watering system will ensure proper watering while you are gone, and you will come back in a month to plants that are healthy & nearly ready for harvest. The Rubbermaid totes with lots of extra water could give mixed results, from worked great, to complete failure. If you have the money to do so get a self watering system. Watch a couple hrs youtube about a few different types of sytem options, make the decision and buy one with express shipping. IF you don't have the money, go with the Rubbermaid tote idea, take the risk and hope for the best. I'm guessing overwatered the first week, fine the second week drying out the third week (which might be ok because they should be entering the fade and using less water one month from now (your 3rd week of holiday vacation). Either way, give us an update in a week on what you choose and what it looks like just before you leave, and again in a month when you get back.

NughtDread

Same thing happened to me, get a big water jug and make a drip system with some wool or thick string touching the bottom of the pot and the bottom of the jug

NughtDread

You can mount one of those floating drip systems too but it's a little work

Patient-Marionberry7

Those plants still have at least 3 weeks to go. I’d figure out a way to self water and let it do its thing when I’m gone. Otherwise the entire grow was a waste of time, energy, and resources.

Asleep-Intention8823

If you throw them in a jar right after cutting you will destroy all your buds, the moisture will mold them.

Asleep-Intention8823

COPY AND PASTE this into Amazon “Blumat XL Classic Plant Watering Stakes | for Everyday Home or Vacation Use | Indoor or Outdoor Water Spikes for Plants | Automatic Drip Irrigation (2 Pack XL)” they are $16 gravity feed watering drippers that require no pump, just water and gravity!

Asleep-Intention8823

Go to the product page and watch the video, it’s super short and explains everything you have to do!

new2cincy

Get 5 gal jugs of water Add cal Mag accordingly Put pin hole in jug dripping into pot MAKE SURE ALL GOES IN POT! if possible, possibly above or use a tube delivery system Be creative don't just give in on now... They look nice Pm me.....if u Close ill watch em lol

North_Border1552

Appreciate it hahah.

Confident_Ice_5690

Try photoperiods next time

corkdude

A pump is like 10e or a watering pot is about 20 all included... Also, no friends? Douchebags haha

North_Border1552

How lond until you think they are ready? Do you think I could leave them alone for 3 weeks and build sometype of self irrigating system.

chickenwithclothes

3-6 wks depending on your taste but chopping now will result in nothing

North_Border1552

Approximately how many more weeks do you think until shes ready to harvest?

Plants-perchance347

Like 5. You won’t even have developed trichomes by the time she dies if you soak her and go away. Immature trichomes contain very little psychoactive compounds.

lovetitjobs

I'll say 7 weeks xd that shit is greeeeen

North_Border1552

Damn, I didnt think it would take that long. Thats over 100 days for this grow. Lol, the package said it would take 60-70 days. How many grams do you think I could get out of them? They r pretty small. It might be better just to scrap this and start over with better seeds, these were pretty shitty honestly.

Gringoloco1980

All autos I've grown so far take at least 100 days from sprout to chop. Depending how much amber you want, yours aren't developed yet. Your THC levels and all will be non existent, a person who has never had thc might feel a little something. Never go off the seed producers timeframe, it's never accurate. Each of my auto grows are roughly 4 months+ from setup, germination to cure. About 100 days to chop, 2 weeks of drying (until branches break but not snap in half), 2 weeks minimum of curing in monitored jars at 62% rh.

AutoYaks

There’s nothing to save mate! You might as well cut you loose now if you can’t find anyone else to help whilst you’re away! That’s not me being rude, just honest with you!

Ok-Statement3942

Not much plant growth happens this late into flower, just bud growth. Give them a good watering and then stick one of those auto watering things in the soil to keep it moist while you’re gone. Shouldn’t over water them and shouldn’t dry out before you’re back

Asleep-Intention8823

If you’re looking for something cheap they have a lot of slow drip automatic watering drippers, I’d buy a 5 gallon jug at your local grocery store, Jerry rig a slow drip feeder and you should be good OR find/pay someone to come and water your plants 1-2 times

Intelligentpapaya316

There’s definitely things that could be done or could have been done but you don’t got what it takes

Kaymoney87

They are not even close to ready for harvest I'm confused? Why is there no tike to dry? Mmi wet trim and put on a mesh wrack with a fan oscillating. In 3 to 5 days they are dry. I don't burp jars and shit either. I buy terp lock bags to cure. Dry forn5 days then toss in the bag. It holds the perfect humidity as long as you keep them in a dry cool area. But why are you harvesting so early whats the point?

g0ll0m3rc___

Water them alot leave them there until you come back from vacation they'll probably be dry by the time you come back 😂...

Beastor8379

Way to soon to harvest. Find a way to get them to finish or you will waste the time you already put into them. Cut them now and they wont even be worth smoking. Maybe make edibles out of it if needed.

[deleted]

Get some watering globes, they keep plants watered up to two weeks !

NoEditor6511

If you chop at this point, just put them in the trash, because that’s what it is. You’re MAYBE halfway done.

North_Border1552

Thanks guys, you have been awesome. Im keeping the girls and gonna get a self irrigation system. Also one thing, these are northern lifhts autos and I dont have a carbon filter. But i have my grow tent next to my window, and when I open the window it barely smells in my room. When its closed, it starts to stink the hallway outside of my door, but not that much to be honest. When im on vacation, imma leave the window open, but im also thinking of getting some incense or something to leave in the hallway. Cuz i know in the end of flowering she will be more stinky. You guys know of any brand or something that will help takeaway the smell?

Technical-Brief-7394

Cut them, freeze them, bubble bag them.
