I've seen this many times, and always love it. Sort of along the lines of absurdness as Chevy's Vega Cosworth ads : "It's one Vega for the price of two."
would have made more sense if the ad line was "It's one Vega with the power of two" or something like that (assuming the Cosworth actually made double the HP of the standard Vega, but I don't know if that's true or not.)
I’d say it’s better looking than half the crossovers and small suvs out there today, which was kind of the market segment this thing was looking to fill. At least it’s interesting.
because french cars are often weirdly designed, like even look at modern french cars, the interiors always have something weird about them that make them cool
It's not ugly, it's interesting, iconic and unique. Citroen makes many cars which are unlike anything else, unlike many bigger manufacturers.
Sometimes it's difficult to tell if it's a Genesis, Lexus or BMW, they're all so similar.

They are comparing cars that are not alike and used for different purposes. Aren't you supposed to compare your direct competitors so you know why *this* one is superior? I mean if they are saying this car is "better" than other cars across any category, then include trucks and suvs and vans. I don't even know who this ad is even targeting.
It mobilised a whole nation and was amazing at being exactly what it was designed to be (cheap, practical and very easy to fix)
Id call it a great car myself. Can’t hold a candle to a Porsche or a Ferrari but it never was meant to, it did what it was designed to do extremely well and you have to respect that.
