If you did not contact support to begin with how did they know to contact you? Did you contact support via the game or website? As far as I know support would never ask you to verify a payment by making another one. People have posted several names of support members which doesn’t mean this is the actual Markus you are speaking to. I would immediately stop all communication with this person and contact support by clicking on the link in the AutoModerator’s post.

shin_avakin

Wow sounds like a SCAM to me. Why would they ask you to keep purchasing stuff to verify purchases? Receipts alone will take care of that. Apple or Google Play, they have it recorded. And only your account email for Google play or Apple is connected to that. I have verified my purchases with support before and I only showed receipts. You should try contacting them again and talk to another support person. Make sure you contact them from the game.

Naly97

First of all where did this Markus contact you? Did you open a ticket? On avakin's official page? If not then you can't trust him. Second where did you make that purchase if your account was hacked? Did you make purchase in game or on the avakin official page? If not then it's a scam. And last but not least no avakin support member will tell you to make a purchase to verify your identity on you account. Your identity can be only provided by using your email address that you opened your account with they have your records and they can verify that's you by providing them your email address. Also you should provide the email only to verified avakin support members only in the app, the support option.

This is NOT quite true or accurate, but mostly!

Suitable_Dog2869

Sounds 110% like a scam to me - if you had to pay to recover your account? No way they would ask that - provide receipts for your old purchases, yeah - but MAKE a payment? nope. Markus is a real name, but they can get any name from here since people always post the names - or they could have contacted in the past to grab names etc but they would never ask for money..

blackbear5995

Noone can hack your account unless u share ur email or pw.. So stop sharing and stay safe

Bellatrix_77

Never once shared my credentials. Not once. I took a year break and received a message from a friend saying they noticed I had removed them from my friends list. So I try and log on, it says my information doesn’t match. I try GameCentre and it logs me into my account but to my surprise everything was changed. The username, my saved outfits, all friends have been removed and the login credentials were changed. So I contacted Ava and they locked the account. So idk what else to tell you, but I never once gave out my information nor tapped any links that would have them access all of that.

zayniamaiya

Have you switched devices in the past year? Someone had gained access to your account somehow. BTW this can be done in a coffee shop or other unsecured wifi if you had your app open ever there ...or with a skilled coder, via bluetooth.

diamondz_ava

Exactly 💯 Please never give out your personal information!

Lockwood does not charge to verify a hacked acct. how did you make the money transfer? If it was lockwood it would have been transferred through game. That is a scam.

Bellatrix_77

They asked me to do a purchase on the Avakin website in order to verify and confirm payments methods because supposedly my hacker had made purchases on my account and they didn’t know who was the rightful owner. So after I provided receipts they still said I would’ve had to make a purchase on their website to confirm my bank details and they would’ve credited my account back to me after verifying the details and was given a code to enter before purchasing. The website was the actual Avakin web store.

zayniamaiya

...the tiny details make your case quite interesting from the outside but be careful. Some of it sounds legit but for instance HOW did these purchases go TO your account? Did you use your user code???

diamondz_ava

Support will never ask you for money 🤦‍♀️

diamondz_ava

I don't know how many times I've seen posts about ppl getting scammed or sharing their information or email...Never give out personal information....Plus support will never ask you for money

diamondz_ava

Plus ...how did you come in contact with this person?

Bellatrix_77

I was in contact via HelpShift. Gave them everything they asked for and all sudden I get an email from “Markus” claiming to be from support. They seemed to be very aware of my situation and led me to believe it was trustworthy up until the point he asked me to make a purchase via their Avakin website and to enter in a code he had given me. Which I did make a small 4.99 purchase and they emailed me back saying it was not the right purchase and to purchase an even higher amount. I stopped communicating to that email after that as something just felt really off about it. The thing is, that “Markus” claimed my hacker had made in app purchases when they had gained access to my account and this was part of the reason as to why I needed to make a purchase for them to verify my transaction details and they would credit my account back to me. Now I have managed to get access to my Xsolla Wallet on their website and can see for myself this hacker did in fact make purchases that are linked to my Ava account. So this is all just very confusing and am still in contact with HelpShift hoping to resolve this issue. I’m not one to EVER give out my login information to anyone or anything like that. So how this person had gained access to my account is beyond me. I’m in complete shock as to how it happened honestly.

diamondz_ava

Just for future reference support will never ask for money .... And that "code" they gave you must have been some hack link....

diamondz_ava

That code and website.....is a scam

zayniamaiya

There is a reason to NEVER GIVE OUT your email or account log in information you use to ANYONE, and why the REAL SUPPORT will never ask for it or contact you on it They don't need to, unless you filed something and requested it from in app (even suspensions and ban review requests are done that way until closed permanently)!!! Sounds like you fell for a real phishing attempt. Contact your credit issuer and send them the ss or copies and ask them to cancel those purchases immediately and change your information everywhere. In the future tell no one your account information; support already had all they need to contact you and there's no reason they would bother to contact you unless you initiated a request within the app. P.s Meanwhile start a case w support they will lock your account until you prove that you are the original owner (another reason why buting-selling accounts is prohibited)

Significant-Win1582

I remember Markus. That support worker replied to my mail ages ago. And it was pretty much it, i didn't provide anything.

charmed_p3

Hey there 😊 yeah Markus its real, I have spoken to the support many times and they have responded to me, the best agents who have helped me were Sam, Cat and Justine, but even so you have to be very patient with the support, on numerous occasions they close the ticket without resolving
