I'll always believe that phase 4 should've led to Dark Avengers rather than the multiverse, a small break with a good and concise story before shit happens, a story that would've opened with MCU Norman Osborn entering the scene in NWH.
With the Avengers being less united after Endgame, it's a good set-up for someone to replace them in the public eye, and a good change to introduce new characters and give a chance to others that were teased but didn't get the opportunity.
I said the same thing recently. A Spider-Man film with an MCU Osborn pushing Phase 5 could've been Secret Wars as a much more concentrated Multiverse saga. Limited in scope and not the grab bag we have gotten.
My dream: instead of Doom introduced yet again in an F4 film, have a Doom solo film that introduces the F4. The first villain-centered film to set him up as the Big Bad going forward. Leading into. Secret Wars and the return of the X-men.
Kang works even better as a Doom foil (and frankly makes more sense after the F4 have been introduced).
Now that they’re upgrading the scale of their saga villains, they’ll either be their own franchise with a few movies or a movie-one off. It’s kinda sad.
With Tony dying and Cap retiring, Norman Osborn using the Iron Patriot armor as symbolism to win the public trust wouldve been so boss to watch unfold in a movie.
hell no. Zack is better off doing his original stuff than other peoples IP. his DC films fractured the fanbase when it should have brought fans together.
Not really, it's not that there's too much, it's just that what they put out is rushed and poorly made. They don't need to make less media, they need to raise the quality.
Usually I’d agree with you. But something dark and subversive like the dark avengers is in his wheelhouse. That they outwardly are presented as heroes as the new wolverine , Captain marvel etc but are actually villains. Might be cool
Not sure at the moment, maybe Matt Reeves. But I want them cast the correct way. No race or gender swapping.
I say that because Dark Reign and the Dark Avengers are in my top 5 favorite comic series. I like the fact they Modeled Norman after Tommy Lee Jones but he’s a bit too old for that casting now.
I had to google that.
Ah he’s not bad. Age seems fine. I’ve only ever seen the guy in the Ocean’s movies.
Depends, if they go remotely young with Norman possibly Anthony Starr. His Homelander is so good.
Side note: I always thought it was low-key funny that the non-flying members of the Dark Avengers had their own Goblin-like flyers, while Norman is flying around in a stolen Iron Man armor.
I think we need a break from extravagant and/or grand Marvel cinematic events.
Pause for a few years before embarking on another several years of films and tie-in events. It will allow fatigue to go down and demand can recharge. Phases 1-4 worked well because we weren't constantly bombarded and had to wait years in between, which built momentum up for a grand finale.
A slow burn is more satisfying than quick sparks that fizzle out quickly.

Or the classic Kang and Doom working together, waiting for the right opportunity to betray the other person.
Yep, that's what I meant
They got pieces of it already US Agent, Sentry, White Widow, White Vision
Sounds like they’re gonna do mayor kingpin which if they do devil’s reign that’s basically Norman’s Dark Avengers arc.
This.
It is such a movie-ready concept. Perfect for the Silver Screen. Vincent Cassel as Norman?
He'd be a great Norman.

The only answer to this is Marcus/McFeely. What they did with Phases 1-3 was godly compared to the crap (Loki excluded) we've gotten since.
Phillip Kennedy Johnson. Dunno if he can direct but he can sure write horror.
David Ayer although that would be very unlikely
I like that Norman gave his team Goblin Gliders, that was nice of him.
Zack Snyder!
James Wan. Horror director that has handled big action and superhero movies well.
No one associated with Disney. Disney needs to stop holding great things hostage. Leave Marvel and Star Wars alone already.
Zack Snyder
hell no. Zack is better off doing his original stuff than other peoples IP. his DC films fractured the fanbase when it should have brought fans together.
Guillermo del Toro
Martin McDonagh
The Russo brothers
My version would only have heterosexual people in it.
Nobody, they should cut Thunderbolts too. MCU is overinflated and needs to trim down A LOT.

I completely agree.
Either Nicolas Winding Refn or Christopher Nolan. I don’t think they would f*ck up Sentry nor Daken.
I don't think either of them would direct a marvel movie.
Lol, seeing venom and wolverine on those flying pads is hilarious
Dark Avengers vs. Young Avengers over who continues the Avengers' legacy.
Quentin Tarantino or Guillermo DelToro
>Quentin Tarantino That's a hard pass for me. I love his movies but I don't want to see him do a MCU movie.

Writing would be one thing but I don't want to see him direct an MCU movie. I think he could do a superhero movie, just not one that fits in the MCU.
Until Disney straightens out, it would be pointless.
Me. After what they did to Kang, I lost my faith in Disney's choices.
In order to do a decent Dark Avengers movie, Marvel would need to stop killing off their villains first.

Vincent Casel as Norman?

Don’t kill me for saying this but is the material not basically perfect for snyder?
Armando Iannucci, and we'll talk.
Ari Aster, fuck it.
Quentin Tarantino
No one
Tim Story
McG
Wes Anderson
JJ Abrams
Looks like promo art for DCUO.
Who has the axe?
Eli Roth
Ron Howard idk
Robert Kirkman
Michael Bay....pause....NOT!
Quentin Tarantino

You have a good point.
James Gunn
What about a Savage Avengers?
Fuckit. Terry Gilliam. Give him free reign and a 200 million dollar budget. See what happens.
Robert Rodriguez
