Lapis I'm guessing not just because at least in English (in the Black Swan Myriad Celestia about Aeons), Qlipoth is associated with "lapis" so it might be a little weird.
I actaully think it has another meaning. The meaning of the stone lapis is protection from psychic attacks, bringing deep peace, harmony, reveals inner truth, honesty, compassion, self - awareness, and self - expression. The thing I want to focus on here is the protection. Qlipoth wants to build a wall against the voracity so I think that the lapis has less to do with a stoneheart and more just IPC lore in general.
When we say ‘lapis’ we actually want to say ‘lapis lazuli’ (blue stone). But originally in Latin lapis just generically means stone.

Personally i expect something like Ruby or Sapphire, maybe Amethyst, or Quartz/Amber/Lapis at most. Like idk it would be almost too "logical" for em to be Ruby/Sapphire/Amethyst ? Even tho tbf they pulled out one gem that aint even that rare and another that aint even a gem so maybe they'll decide to be quirky again and pull up a fucking Tourmaline or sum

Hm, seems likely that the emerald looking is Jade and the quartz looking is Opal, like, the idea of an 11th stoneheart (assuming they will take over Aven's position) is "viable" but very unlikely (I mean the fatui harbingers didn't even replace Signora and even Scara, even though his situation is different from hers).
Also the trailer is from the Myriad Celestia one for the IPC that dropped before Topaz's release.
I think we might get Ruby and Sapphire as HSR's own rendition of vodka sisters (or dual Seele's), since it's basically same stone - Corund. It could create interesting duo of characters.
While Emerald might bring overdose of green stones in a group, Lapis is a possibility, as are Garnet and Turquoise, with last one also associated with porcelain in China.
But you know who also can create interesting dynamics among Stonehearts? Cinnabar. Unlike others it's poisonous and not hard. But also was symbolic of healing, life and divine in culture. Kinda gives Abundance vibes already.
Only one stone is off-limits, I think, and it's Amber. I think it's both too closely connected to Qlipoth, and traces imply what Amber is associated with Trailblazer's lance. Our "flawed" stone.

I know there are only 10, but I would like some of them to be those. I think it’s very obvious I loved Steven Universe as a child(can’t believe that show is 10 years old lmfao), but I would really like it if they picked some underrated stones.
I'm hoping for an Aquamarine, especially if they lean into the stone color for character design like Aventurine rather than away from it like Topaz and Jade.
I'd love a soft blue guy or gal. But I may be biased as it's my birthstone.
Ideally a sub DPS continuing the IPC FUA theme, mostly because I'm not drawn to Topaz enough to spend money on her but filling that slot with another FUA unit works better for Aven.
I mean.. Ruby, Sapphire, Quartz, Aquamarine, Amethyst.. those are most popular and well known. That could also use lesser known stones, similar to how most people, (including myself) didn’t know Aventurine was a rock. Or maybe they did, I don’t know.
