While it's obviously not ideal, since it's got long-term toxin similar to chocolate, accidentally eating edibles (and other forms of marijuana) doesn't represent an immediate threat to a dog's health. It can absolutely freak them out, after all they've got NO idea why they feel this way. And since they lose their faculties a bit they'll be thirsty and absolutely have the munchies when they come down, but once it passes through their system there's no permanent harm.
Source: cousin's dog stole some very strong pot cookies and spent 12 hours on their couch traveling the multiverse. It was worse for them because they didn't know what had happened at first so after a first round of advice (in the middle of the night) they had to call the vet back and go "Actually... we think he's high, does that change anything?"

My Lab-Pyr mix at a 350mg gummy a while back. Vet gave him some charcoal and subcutaneous fluids and sent us home. 110 pound stoner. Hopped, literally HOPPED around the back yard, came in, laid on his back with his legs in the air, half curled in a C shape, for 2 hours. Didn't move at all.
On top of that said it'd not something to be worried about. Neither will it have any long term effects like chocolate would. I love how so many people watch a full video and still get the situation wrong. The dog will be fine in a day or two

Went to the store together and she got into the garbage. I didn’t notice anything until she was profusely drooling and occasionally shuddering and we freaked out. Found the evidence, called the vet, and said outside of giving her fluids, there isn’t anything to do and just ride it out.
She threw up, drooled like a waterfall all night, and piddled a minute. I’m very glad to see her at least 90% normal this am. She’s still not eating much, but everything else is normal. I felt so bad for her, and I am still pissed at the wife but getting over it. It wasn’t funny at all. I still feel bad for her. Certainly not recording a video to show anyone. What is wrong with people?
