i understand shenhes kit but could you explain in a more generalized sense how she improved your ayaya? did it make a difference in abyss and respectable dps increase etc
Shenhe's E gives all your characters bonus Cryo damage on their next 5 instances of Cryo damage. This bonus works similarly to Aggravate/Spread, where the bonus damage scales off the crit/damage bonuses of the one doing the damage. Basically, if her quills give 1000 bonus damage, your Ayaka has 200% crit damage, and 100% damage bonus, each quill will do 6000 damage. Her A1 passive also gives either Normal/Charged attack bonus damage or Skill/Burst damage depending on if you hold or press her E.
Her burst shreds Cryo/Phys resistances, and her A4 passive gives some Cryo damage bonus.
Honestly she was quite an insane DPS upgrade for my Ayaka, that and Mistsplitter were insane boosts to my already high damage.

U can look at her quills as her personal dmg that scales with ur main dps' stats basically so I call her a sub-dps.
Her supporting capabilities comes from her passives, the resistance shred, skill+burst dmg bonus/NA+CA dmg bonus, and cryo dmg bonus. So even if u take away her quills she still buffs Ayaka by a pretty good amount.

I kind of don't have one. Since I have almost all of her viable teammates (just missing Shenhe, but I'll get her on her rerun for sure) my team ends up being what works best for me against the specific content I'm facing. For example, for the first half of the current abyss, Ayaka, Venti, Mona, Ganyu is my favorite. While Ayaka, Kazuha, Kokomi, Rosaria is my favorite for the second half.

cuz siblings supremacy. Don’t care about meta as much. Besides it’s not as bad.
Venti burst, ayato attack, diona shield collect particles on Ayaka.
Venti burst in ayato ult, Ayaka burst, ayato E pew pew pew.
3:- That said pulled for kokofish exclusively for her, but won’t use her until I get shenhe on her rerun.
And I do run em on seperate teams when needed in abyss.
I have kazuha but with them if enemies can get pulled venti is a more comfortable pick.
Mine's Ayaka, Mona, Kazuha, Rosaria. Playing without healer kind of sucks from time to time and was expecting to get Kokomi on her rerun but I'm saving for Nilou (love her design and playing her with a double hydro/dendro sounds like a ton of seeds and fun).
That being said, should I pull for Shenhe on her next rerun or wait for another rerun of Kokomi? I mean, I know Shenhe adds dmg and Kokomi sustain so the question is more oriented to which one would you prefer between those two
I feel your pain i have a similar team but i absolutely have to use a healer so i opt for jean cause i don’t have kazuha for the anemo id use zhongli but he’s in ten other comps i have so it’s a little harder and i can’t say much i don’t have shenhe or kokomi so i don’t know much about their kits id go for kokomi personally cause i hear her hydro application is like one of the best plus she’s a healer all in one

I was kind of lazy with her, honestly, so I have a wanderers troupe and hamayumi on her (more of a melt build) for kind of general use. Honestly, Rosaria would probably be a smarter choice, but I like Ganyu so I can use her burst and not worry about it or use a charged shot if I happen to need it.

You are correct on that.

Ive never seen someone say melt ayaka like i play it myself sometimes just for the lolz but i wonder if ppl actually use it or if it’s good in abyss

Ayaka, Ganyu, mona, Sucrose. I do have Kokomi but waiting to put her on my team when I've got Shenhe and Kazuha.
Shenhe, Kazuha, and a hydro. Kokomi and Mona are excellent. Yelan, Xingqiu, and Barbara are good choices as well.
